I had pondered about what might be in play tbf. The Republicans seem to be shooting themselves in the foot repeatedly with North Carolina and Ohio, while I had wondered if the Democrat Mayor of New York City being indicted might put that state unexpectedly into play, although if this projection is correct, perhaps not.

 

But lot's of ifs ofc. I still feel like it's 50/50 and October is going to be a bumpy ride for both campaigns if the news continues being as messy as it is.

 

Saying that, for proof of how much people can get all kinds of interpretations, The Mail were splashing on one claiming Trump is 10 points ahead, which even among the more Trump-positive projections I've seen feels optimistic.

The more clips I see of his Wisconsin rally the more I'm thinking he just rambled nonsense the whole time. Flies, phone apps, ripping babies from cribs... He definitely seems to be losing the plot now. Imagine he's president and he's talking to another head of state or some royalty, wtf does that even sound like.

If he wins I wonder how long it’ll be before they have to 25th him due to his clear mental decline and Vance takes over, which itself is a more terrifying prospect than Trump tbh - same awful policies but without an incompetent dimwit trying to enact them.

Another 2am UK time start for this. I'll probably get up early for it. I'm unsure how it will go as I haven't heard much from Waltz so far. I think he said previously that he isn't good with debates but hopefully he has been getting a lot of training in. I just hope he holds his own and gets a few wins in but it will be interesting to see how it pans out.
