Happy 3000 thread. At 3000 pages I still don’t understand why someone who doesn’t like this thread would come into anyway then post how they don’t like it whilst criticising people that do post in it. Just stay away if you know you don’t like the thread? 😂

This thread has kept me sane.

It’s been wonderful to debate even if not all of our views align fully.

Roll on June 21st so we can put this thread to bed and start the year countdown to our first pint at the cider bus.

Under 50s to get that quality Moderna stuff in a few weeks according to the daily bastard. Not fair! Bloody kids.

Yeah we get the new, modern(a) stuff...

Yeah me too, it’s good to have discussion even if we don’t agree. I don’t think people that come in here to say how crap this thread is really help.

Don’t forget many people only get mild symptoms.... hopefully that will be the same for you ... good luck .... I only know of 1 person that needed time off work and that was only 1 day ..,

if I hadn't been working from home I reckon I would have needed the day off work, felt proper poo. But, then I'm a bit of a wimp with the most non essential job on the planet.

What defines when this shit does end?

I don't know for sure...but people seem to be suffering from next day side effects more with AZ vaccine...?

We mentioned this last night ... but maybe it’s because more people have been given the az vaccine so we are more likely to hear about people getting effects from it ... as it’s page 3000 we can’t let it past without an @Toilet Duck intervention ... any idea if this is the case or not ? Crap we are now on 3001 😀

I hope it does and hope is all we have so I’m going to roll on the positive side of it.

We have been sold this as an irreversible unlocking so with June 21st being the final relax of any remaining guidelines I’d say this shit ends then.

I don’t remember the dates but isn’t there something in there in regards to advice on social distancing being reviewed between now and June as well?

Yeah I think that’s between the 2nd to last and the last step.

yeah...maybe. You had pfizer, right? No side effects?

I know about 5 people who have had AZ and all felt a bit rubbish the  next day, mostly a headache and just tired/crappy. My missus got it pretty bad, but not 100% sure if that was just vaccine, or it triggered a migraine. My mum and dad both had pfizer and were fine, but then they're ancient.

Ah yes I remember he said that, so this thread is the shit that's ending.

I guess when all restrictions are lifted...everywhere open and no more social distancing. So...2026 some time.

Haha. Maybe a bit earlier, end of 2021 sounds good.

June 21st at the earliest, and there is still potential restrictions on mass gatherings from then too, depending on various research being done.

I very much doubt it ends then...

Yep just a dead arm for me from Pfizer  🙂  ... maybe felt a bit shitty but work does that at times 🙂

I don't understand why someone would slur another as a Crackhead because they disagree with what they posted.

Roadmap also states after June that hands - face - space will remain which is depressing.  The doves and nerds keep saying we can't control this just with vaccines.

I am starting to think life will never be normal again.

T the start there was a lot about the newnormal

So, work from home where possible stops from April 12th?

I've pretty much given up on the news (6music news comes on literally as I'm typing), but I take it from the Daily Mash that Rishi has been encouraging people to go back to the office.

Good luck with that - both my wife and I's employers have sacked off having offices.

yeah, I think we'll start hearing about how people need to get back to the office more and more...bit like last summer.

    • Judging by last night at Wembley, Luke Combs should be in the conversation of headliner. The UK is having a moment with country music so I don't think it would be particularly left field either.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
