Simpo
I was just browsing through the (really underrated, especially for first-timers) 'AREAS' section of the official site, and noticed the erstwhile seaside-y newcomers to the festival have won the race to be the first to update their section for 2020!https://www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk/areas/glastonbury-on-sea/ It has a cool drawing, a photo gallery and video of 2019 highlights, and a teaser for what to expect in 6 and a half months. It's exciting to see wheels in motion for the festival, especially having not been since 2017.
pahqman
I dig it. A lot found it to be underwhelming last year but I think that it's meant to be a spot that you just dip through once or twice over the weekend. If people were meant to spend hours there loads of people wouldn't get to see it.
Hugh Jass
Have they finished building it yet?

Bovla
I didn't manage to get in last year, it was so busy once it fully opened. Hoping to get a look when I can next get to the fest. Also agreed about the Areas website, always a good read to get me excited 😁
Hugh Jass
We went on around 10.30 on the Friday and it was brilliant. Hardly anyone around, I even set the high score on the 1942 machine.

jow95
it was a shame it wasn’t ready in time for the Wednesday or Thursday but when it opened it was well worth a visit.

It was fairly quiet when I visited but I couldn't tell you when that was. I would guess Friday afternoon some time.
vintagelaureate
Yeah, I went on Saturday (11.38 according to my phone) and I could just walk on. I took this video from the end.
