I agree with you completely! I'm a big fan of his and was hoping he'd headline Pyramid but I do now think that's a step too far. I'm convinced he'll be performing somewhere on the farm in 2025

I'd just listen to the albums. They're both good and it's not the most extensive discography in the world.

Yes, though a secret set would cause really serious  crowd congestion if it was Woodsies. Better a churnup pyramid spot like the Foos did.

That new one he dropped yesterday is the best part of six minutes, but factor in the encore break and his patter, it probably gets near enough.

Had passed on the Leeds show tomorrow due to being otherwise engaged - except that has now fallen through.

 

Nicely however, I have sorted out The Horrors, which isn't exactly a bad alternative.

I thought it might have been the injury that had him sitting down later in the summer at fests.

 

He was still using crutches now and again about 10 years later. It properly f**ked him up.

Saw Sam last night in Leeds. Outstanding, probably best gig I've been to at the arena. Great atmosphere, the couple of news songs were greeted like old favourites. In fact People Watching probably received one of the best reactions of the night!

Doubly annoyed to have missed now because he did play The Dying Light . Easily a top-five tune of his for me.

Guessing he just didn't have the piano for the Dublin gig

Just got back from Manc! Great gig and that arena is unreal (won’t get into who paid for it). 
 

Small dip in the middle when he played 3 new ones and a b-side in a row but brilliant otherwise. 
 

The Dying Light defo a highlight. Loads he missed off the first album though.
