Got back together last year and sold out 4 nights at my local Academy venue. I imagine a tour and/or album is on the way

See, this is why I love this forum.  I hadn't thought of, let alone listened to, the View for years.  Then last night I find myself playing Hats Off to The Buskers in full, probably for the first time in 15 years.  Great little hit of nostalgia

I loved them when they first came out, it's a great little debut album and I have very fond memories of going to see them with my friends at the time.

I know they screwed up by not showing up last time they were booked for Glastonbury last time but they seem to have cleaned up their act since then so fingers crossed for a second chance, especially as the dates would fit in well with the new record coming out.

Depends on what it is imo. Some things I can imagine working well as a live format, some things I think just work fine as just picking up on Spotify.

I've been to a few podcast records and have always enjoyed it. I looked at tickets for this today as was vaguely thinking of going but the prices for most seats are insane.

I mean I just had a look at this one and it's only premium or VIP tickets left, which... I think I'll go spend my money elsewhere.

Yeah I joined the queue this morning out of interest but there was nothing for less than 150 quid left by the time I got in. I think the cheapest seats were 40 quid and there probably weren't many of them. And there were VIP packages of 500+!

On a pop-punk note, looks like Fall Out Boy have pretty much sold out in the north of England. Was a bit surprised to see just five shows, and with Leeds as the additional night on the traditional four-city arena run.

But that and Manchester are gone already. Glasgow still had plenty when I looked.

Leeds still has tickets... Ticketmaster just trying their luck charging £150 for standing tickets...

London still has some so I was slightly confused why they announced a second date

I guess it's like roadshow recordings for I'm Sorry I Haven't a Clue. (Showing my age there.)

Very much so.  I went to a live show / recording of The Bugle podcast and it was pretty much like being in the audience for something like The News Quiz. Only with a lot more swearing.

Also, SIHAC is one of the greatest things ever.  Still gutted that I passed on the chance to go see it when Humph was still in the chair

Ah, Humph. A legend in his own lunchtime and lifetime.

I listened to recordings of those that they put up as de facto Bugle episodes last autumn and it sounded in line with what I was expecting tbf.

Still made me laugh, mind.

We went pre-covid at the Soho theatre. One of my mates I went with wasn't familiar with it, and couldn't quite understand why the crowd told the producer to go fuck himself 😂
