thetechi
Hm. Well. It's not bad. By any means not bad. I mean I'm pleased with Cage the Elephant although I saw them in Glasgow last year and they were disappointing. Have seen Seasick Steve three or four times and he's good, if he's having a good day. Looking forward to Kodaline and there's still around 15 acts already announced I'm looking to. But this pretty much confirms Biffy, The Killers, Kasabian are all 100% out. The festival would literally have no reasons to hold these names back.

ThePushover
Rather underwhelmed, definitely larger names coming. I hope. Happy with Kodaline, Seasick Steve, and Cage the Elephant though
AAlex
So that would be... 64/85*100 = 75.29. So 75/76 acts in total. With 11 or 12 acts left to come, could it be the last announcement next week?

If those two were added then the line up would be absolutely perfect for me.

neacaisa
definitely the last announcement will be next week. This announcement was underwhelming for me as I definitely hoped they would hold something big for now. sadly, it was not the case. the bands announced are pretty well known, just no big act and nothing special for me. cage the elephant is the only act that excites me a little bit. also.. above and beyond definitely klub c headliners and cage the elephant headlines the barn Edited March 10, 2017 by neacaisa
Sbrady
Excited for my second RW coming from London - this is my favourite festival and far better than UK ones in my opinion. Everyone is focused on the music, which is the main reason I go to festivals! Fairly happy with the last announcement. But do we think that Seasick Steve will headline The Barn? If so, he will clash with either Linkin Park or SOAD which would be a shame. Would love any of The Killers, Biffy, Frank Turner, Stereophonics, Maximo Park, Feeder in the last announcement! daz-riggers
We pretty much ruling Kasabian, the Prodigy out now? Or does anyone think they may be saving a few biggies until the end for one last ticket sales push?
thewayiam
Dua Lipa the best one from that, Above & Beyond too.

They've said it's almost complete for two weeks in a row and we got 11 names today. No reason to hold it for more than a week :-)

I don't think this festival is too concerned with bands playing regularly though... KOL play practically every year hahaha

The last announcement in previous years haven't been very big and I cannot see a reason for that changing this year. As I said ^^ they'd have no real reason to withhold those names. (Hopefully I'll be proved wrong as I have been before)

jonnytee1
Although i can see why many people see this festival as "Top Heavy" - there are a few points to consider 1) Friday has 2 headliners at any other major festival.... Saturday has 3 2) Some of the best acts I have ever seen at festivals were when mooching around and unexpectedly falling upon them. 3) Bands like Crystal Fighters, Future Islands and Benjamin Clementine are acts (that I already knew) that I am looking forward to more than some of the headliners 4) Its worth taking time out to listen to as many bands and acts listed as possible - they are all available from the RW website 5) If people consider it top heavy then the tents will be emptier in the day allowing me a better view - thanks 6) It's still heads and shoulders above almost every other festival line up out there 7) If you don't like it go to either Download (rock) or V festival (pop) and please take your negativity to their forums Stay happy people - see you in June
