Queuing on the A37

Now stationary on Pylle lane for 20 min, only about 50 feet up the lane.

all I want to do is get my head down for the night and forget about today( yesterday) before it ruins my weekend.

According to Apple maps the queue up the A37 from the a303 is easing but probably still a few hours.

Joined queue at 9:50 5 miles south. Now 3 miles south of Pylle Lane after 4 hrs.

Hit Shepton Mallet at 4.15pm - still on A37 now... Although can now see the Ribbon Tower fwiw

Some lads have got out their car and are walking with all their tents etc leaving one driver to get to site.

I'm not sure I like this new A37 area of the festival, but I do seem to spending most of my time here!

 

The car behind me are holding a referendum on whether they are in or out of the queue.

Worthy fm just said everyone with a public car park pass should go to orange car park. We went past that 4 hours ago and still aren't on the a37, should we turn around and go back?

We are considering the same. Have come this way as want to camp on Big Ground but the reality is we could be stuck here after the site opens!

People are trickling very very slowly into east camper van fields. Queue is just backed up from that. We are currently on Pylle Lane. If you have the option of not trying to get into the East go for that.

Yes. I have turned around and am now parked up in orange!

Shortcut round back roads and in via Ditcheat head north west rejoin a37 next to entrance :-) worked for us!

Were you all ready in the a37 when you decided to take the shortcut? Having a look at the map it looks like I can get to Ditcheat via hornblotton green and Alford.

Been in the a37 queue since 2.45am. Moved 0.8 miles. Considering turning around and heading for Orange west.
