Argh - help me solve this problem or I have to return my ticket!

I really don't see a problem with the baby on the coach, he/she would be with you or in a child seat anyway. It seems the problem would be the 3 year old on the coach with no seat. Somebody would have to stand or the toddler on your husbands knee which they could be funny about. As above I've known people that have missed their coach for several reasons and they have picked them up at an office. You should be fine travelling in 2 pairs.

I am very certain myself and my husband can get the coach, it doesn't say anywhere that there is a chance kids (and PAs) might not be able to get tickets.  

I also posted this asking for the best way to get the kids down there if we can't get to the meeting point / into the car parks.  Last point, we've done a lot of travelling with our toddler and did not expect our 7 week old baby not to be allowed to sit on our laps, every single coach provider i've looked at say under 2s (and some even say under 3s or 5s) travel on laps.  My toddler can easily be collected from the meeting point - we didn't expect to have this problem at all.

Thanks MilkyJoe, I asked See and they said the toddler absolutely can not sit on my husbands lap and my husband also can not stand.  "Unfortunately as our coaches are all executive standard there is no safe standing room, and therefore no standing passengers allowed.  This is purely down to the amount of travel time involved"  It would be much better for us and obviously greener if we all got the coach.  I've asked SEE if 2 people don't turn up can the kids have their seats so we will see what the say.  Big IF though obviously.  I'm guessing lots of people fly into bristol so maybe a delayed plane etc could mean it happens.  I've got the coach before and there were a few people not on it, the coach driver was calling their names.

But they do want to get the coach and they booked it in the belief they could add their children, the fact that SEE say they can't isn't their fault, and to be fair to the OP she's not trying to get out of getting the coach either.

There is the possibility that someone on your coach may cancel their ticket, I noticed last year there were no secret resales of coach packages so you never know, there could be a cancellation which isn't filled?

Thanks Verymerry, I think all 4 if us will get a taxi down to coach stop, try and get all 4 of us on and then split into 2 groups of 2 and Husband can drive / sister can drop at meeting point

this is correct ,,a friend of mine who live in london ended uo going to glasgow got pissed missed coach got a flight to bristol got to glasto tix was waiting in box office outside gate A........so hubby takes coach you take kids in car meet up at gate A alls good have a great festi

Annoyingly (but sort of understandable) if you're a local and you get a Sunday ticket you have to travel by coach. These are the coach terms.

 Children aged 6 - 12 require an allocated bus seat (£10) which can be added to your booking before checking out.

 

It must have sown thing to do with the coaches that see provide? Does anyone know who runs the local coaches? Bearing in mind in coming from Bristol so not a million miles away!

I went on a 'local' coach years ago with my then two year old and met up with OH who was already there.

It was an OLD double decker red bus. There was a bit of a que on the way up a hill on the way there and the traffic can to a standstill, the bus didn't have the 'umph' to restart and get up the hill so had to reverse down to get a bit of a run up and some momentum.

Had a good time though

Thanks carkete annoyingly it doesn't say who runs the coach. It must be a different coach provider as their rules are a lot more relaxed. Maybe because the distances involved are shorter?

Don't you already have tickets for the entire festival? Hence the thread title, Why do you need Sunday tickets? Which are for locals, (Bristol is too far) sorry I'm confused

I think they're probably buses as much as coaches and they're not coming very far, that's why the rules would be different.

Yeh that's what I was thinking too clarkete, I think we've sorted out a way to get us there now so fingers crossed all goes to plan! Can't wait!
