CaledonianGonzo
I'm quite up for some of this this summer, but being about as square as they come I don't really know to much about it. So who's likely to play and what should I look out for? Skepta? Stormzy? Novelist? Kano? Any albums I should give a listen to beforehand? *hoists self onto bandwagon*
JoeyT
I used to wet wipe any glasto grime off but last year having been in the camper fields I had a morning shower daily. Highly recommend
CaledonianGonzo
Why I oughta! You've made a jest based on the dual meaning of the term 'grime'!
Wooderson
Key search terms: "Famm" "Cuzz" "Bludd" "Big Narstie"
FuzzyDunlop
I genuinely thought this was going to be a post about litter on site. Im obviously not down with the kids.
bigfurbdogg
Kano's new album 'Made in the Manor' is pretty decent and worth a listen, i have no idea how likely he is to be there tho. Skepta seems to be doing festivals with his labal mates BBK (Boy Better Know), so they include JME, Frisco, Wiley etc. Really hoping BBK will be there, reckon they'd go down well high up in the JP. wwinstanley
Big Narstie seems to be doing the rounds at the moment. He's playing in Jersey on Saturday, im not a massive grime fan but im definitely looking forward to it!
CaledonianGonzo
I think a couple of pals were talking up 'Made in the Manor' on Facebook the other day. I'll check it out.
stocky3000
Kano's fire in the booth is also pretty impressive and thats coming from someone who isn't a huge fan of grime!
bigfurbdogg
Haven't heard much of Big Narstie about from his verse on that Craig David song and not a big fan of that in all honesty.

Woffy
Is there a, like, seminal genre defining grime album to listen to?
bigfurbdogg
Just now, Woffy said: Is there a, like, seminal genre defining grime album to listen to? I'm definately not an expert on Grime music, but i suppose Dizzee's first album is one that comes to mind, although that mite sound a bit dated now. Winslow Leach
Skepta and Stormzy have both had pretty big years, particularly with Shutdown and Shut Up, so doesn't seem unlikely that one or both could be there. I actually prefer Stormzy to Skepta, Dreamer's Disease is a great EP and Know Me From is a banger. Not sure what Ghetts is up to this summer but his Rebel With a Cause is a cracking album, definitely listen to that. Novelist also has some great tracks and Krept & Konan's Young Kingz mixtape is worth a listen. King Triton by JT the Goon is a pretty good instumental grime album too. Not a huge fan of JME to be honest, but I know others are. As far as other albums, Treddin' On Thin Ice still stands up and Ruff Sqwad's White Label Classics collection is off the fucking scale. Treddin on Thin Ice by Wiley, White Label Classics by Ruff Sqwad and Boy In Da Corner by Dizzee Rascal. Of the three, White Label Classics is a compilation of Ruff Sqwad's singles but it's also the best. You've basically got a genre being invented from the ground up by a bunch of teenagers using computers they were given to do their homework on. Divein
If you want outside London Grime Bugzy Malone has an album on Spotify which is really good. Just don't listen to mosh pit gang. There's also Coco from Sheffield who does a lot with Toddla T.
