So I know there's alot of people that don't like them but I love them! And there still on my list of bands to see :) who thinks they might play? They seem to be playing quite a few festivals

I say there's pretty much no chance they're gonna play I'm afraid. They would do nothing but headline and Emily has already said that all 3 headliners are British, which therefore rules them out. Plus I think they command quite a big fee, which I don't think Glastonbury would be willing to pay

Pretty much 100% definitely not

They were due to play in 93 but pulled out, for some glorious reason that's been lost to the vagaries of time. Limp funk metal played by puerile macho idiots with their tops off, with a side helping of slap bass? Think I'll pass.

They pulled out in 93 because they were still looking for a permanent replacement for Frusciante. Their last show with Arik Marshall was in Feb 93, and he was fired from the band soon after. They didn't have a solid guitarist for their Glasto show.

I'd love to see them play Glasto, loved them at Reading in 94.

However, they ain't a Glasto type band and they're too big not to headline.

In fact, I'm sure Michael Eavis once said that he'd never book them as they'd be too attractive to younger people... The following year he booked Jay Z and said that they need to appeal to younger people!!!

Haha! Clearly listened to very, very little of their music then? 25 plus years they've written a massive range of music. Go and listen to Venice Queen, Don't Forget Me, Strip My Mind (I could go on) and see how 'limp funk metal' that is.

They're very much past their best now obviously (live) and have been since their main guitarist left.

Chillis are one of the greatest bands in history in my opinion. They've reinvented themselves and written some breathtaking music.

They're good but they're no Travis

I thought Flea was good in Back To The Future II

And The Big Lebowski. He should have stuck to acting.

That said, if they do play I'm coming dressed as a marmot.

I'd love to see the chilis at pilton, although I could never see it happen. There a great band although they where pretty piss-pore at reading in 07, but I think that was due to reading and Leeds being the last leg of there world tour and the last shows john did with the band, him and Anthony where at each other's throats the whole time.  But like some one else said, I'd rather the chilies headlined all 3 nights rather than what the headliners are looking like this year.

They were absolute toss when I saw them at Leeds 2007. I was looking forward to it as well. Easily one of the worst performances I've ever seen and probably worst headliner ever.

!00% agree with this. Lots of meandering jams and no tunes as far as I can remember. To be fair it was their last date of 18 months touring their album, so no wonder they sounded bored.
