Are bury tomorrow likely? They're at slam dunk and download and I know that doesn't mean they won't do Leeds but they'll be very busy. Hope they are there though to play their new stuff

I know but still. And even more reason why I want them to be at Leeds. Would love while she sleeps as well underneath AA and bury tomorrow, that would make it almost perfect

Got new album out so they're likely and both of those dates are early on, doubt they'll be too busy around R&L. But still I hope Bury Tomorrow do a set on the main as opposed to doing the Pit again 2 years in a row

Please not WSS. They've done the Pit two years in a row and a 3rd would be boring and a waste a of a slot in my eyes

Aha I get your point but I'll never get bored of seeing them, and there's not too much else on for me on Reading's Friday. BT on main would be glorious though on that day

Thrice and La Dispute would bump the current line up from solid to great for me. Can see both happening with Thrice putting a new album out in May and La Dispute at ArcTanGent & Hevy the week before R+L. They're touring together in the US in June too.

I would have said that LA Dispute being at both ATG and Hevy would have ruled them out but with Hevy now being cancelled who knows? Don't think they have been booked mind (along with Thrice) as ATG shares hardly any acts with R&L. There was 2 in 2014 and I don't there was a single one last year but then again a lot of the bands that play aren't really acts you'd see at R&L so maybe you'll get lucky

This could be interesting on the Pit Stage:

The term supergroup gets thrown around a lot, but Giraffe Tongue Orchestra fit that description, and then some. The all-star collaboration unites Alice in Chains singerWilliam DuVall, Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds, Dillinger Escape Plan guitarist Ben Weinman, Dethklok bassist Pete Griffin, and former Mars Volta drummer Thomas Pridgen.

Yeah,looks great collaboration.

Strangely, when I googled them after they were announced, they came up on my search engine as if I had googled them before.Cant remember doing that but it obviously didn't register in my brain.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
