apologies if another act specific thread isn't appropriate but has anyone had a listen to this lot? Surely due a Glastonbury appearance having not played before and they are on the sound of 2016 list too. I've seen them 5 times since March already (gf got me tickets for gorilla in manc, also saw them at Heaton park with courteeners, Kendal, ritz and supporting courteeners again tonight at the Apollo) and they seem to adapt to any size venue impressively.

Anyone else into them? What stage do we think at Glastonbury? I'm thinking peel and William's green as a double set

they played another song tonight that sounded as good as all the previous ones, each time I hear a new track I like it more than the last. They aren't groundbreaking (they're from Manchester so they wouldn't be) but I think they'll be huge

I must not bite :-)

Manchester, so much to answer for. For every A Guy Called Gerald there is a counter balancing trad rock, backwards looking Oasis act.

I suspect they will be tarred as "indie landfil" by some on here!

I had heard good things about them so checked them out at Latitude this year. I managed 3 or 4 songs before getting bored and walking off so indie landfill is about right imo :)

I have a ticket to see them in Feb at the albert hall in manchester

So do I. I've heard a lot about them, not seen them yet, and heard a few tracks.  Am I getting it very wrong when I think of War on Drugs kind of sound?

BTW Manc Albert Hall I think is a brilliant venue. Saw I am Kloot there - wonderful night.

I second this. Saw Manics do holy bible there and it was bliss.

I third this. Saw Hot Chip there recently and it was fantastic.

Saw Blossoms support someone this year, think it was the Charlatans. I thought they were nice enough without blowing me away. Hopefully there is more to come.

Didn't expect to piss off so many mancunians with that originality comment - I live here (not necessarily my first choice!) but my music tastes are...well I went to courteeners on saturday!

The thing with blossoms is that each single is a bit different from the other (within a narrow spectrum) so it'll be quite a good album of different types of song. There was a new one Saturday that sounded unlike all the others, more guitar driven.

Ive also got Albert hall tickets but not sure about going, didn't like the venue the two times I've been and the crowd will probably be like Saturday's was again which doesn't really appeal!
