SFX is not the owner of Tomorrowland.
Tomorrowland is 100% Belgian. SFX is a kind of 'subcontractor' for TomorrowWorld Brasil and US. When SFX bought ID&T (which was 50% owner of Tomorrowland) the Belgian organisator bought back the festival for 100%, but they made the deal SFX could organise the Brasil and US festivals as a subcontractor.
TomorrowWorld Brasil will normally go on with a part of the Brasillian crew of SFX. TomorrowWorld US will not at this moment.
Tomorrowland (Belgium) itself has never been in trouble.

Those Italian dates are confirmed, so the leaked schedule was wrong. I can't see Springsteen playing Thursday, with Disclosure likely being the dance closer on that day.

What about Paul McCartney on Thursday? Since he's pretty much a certainty for Pinkpop. And I figure that a setlist with 50% Beatles songs would go down better than Springsteen playing The River...

Hell yeah! Actually while you mentioning it, I got a newletter mail from McCartneys management that stated the following:

"We are looking at new tour dates as we speak so hopefully we'll be somewhere near you. We don't have any confirmation on those tour dates just yet, but remember to keep checking back to Paul's website. We promise that as soon as they're confirmed, we will announce them there."

Actually, McCartney is not too bad. He's a great performer and will most certainly play festival Beatles anthems, if he would headline.

Tame impala would be good on main stage on a sunny evening

I think they can fit with the darkness and 15k crowd much more than playing in the open for mostly RHCP fans. But this is true for PJ Harvey too.. :P

RHCP fans who haven't seen them live before might end up disappointed. They've been dull and really flat last twice I've seen them.  Felt like they were 4 blokes going thru the motions. Hopefully this tour they'll have more spark about them

In 2007 I've worked for their gig in Udine (Italy) and it was the worst concert I've ever seen.

So if it will be some good alternative on the other stages I'll surely not see them.

Saw them on californication tour indoors at secc and they were brilliant. Went again to glasgow green and they were awful. Less said about their performance at titp in 07 ? the better. I lasted around 5 songs and was so bored i went off to the tent to see the charlatans who were fantastic

I'm by no means looking forward to them like some are, I'm just willing to give them another chance to win me over, play the hits, keep the jamming to an absolute minimum rather than 5 mins in between every song whilst keidis goes off stage and just look like they wouldn't rather be anywhere else than on the stage

What do you think about?

I know it's hypotetical but I hope they'll add some new bands that haven't already announced a festival/summer tour (for example massive attack).

Lots of unconfirmed acts, and it looks quite unrealistic... Kendrick Lamar as barn headliner?

    • Hush cancelled with a similar event now taking place at EartH and Cate Le Bon doing her own show, maybe others have rearranged gigs?
    • Yeah I find it strange, if they were just a silly act then they wouldn't be headlining the 3rd stage. The likes of vengaboys yes but they aren't doing their own sizeable arena dates.  That looks very weak for what they could actually get, but GC aren't playing 3rd main stage with The 02 and the Coop arena and in a same slot that KSE are. MIW aren't carrying those two dates either, neither are Turnstile and Parkway Drive tickets didn't play out. You gotta do better than Ghost, Blink and Deftones though.    I think you are a bit even if that is not the intention. I'm genuinely shocked they booked them for the avalanche and I think it'll be rammed out of the tent. While ADTR will obviously get a lot too, many Download attendees will had the chance to see them at Slam Dunk. I think 90s fest getting Scooter was class and while there would have been some Download crossover, the Slam Dunk crossover given acts you get on the avalanche will be a different level.
