Because in the rare event of sharing acts with other Belgian fests (except Pukkelpop, they share every year), RW gets to announce them first.

Correct.
+ It would not be smart for Zottegem to share several groups (headliners for them) with a huge festival as RW the week before. Especially in the TW Classic weekend.

Makes me. Question Beligium as a nation. ;)

They have Editors as a headliner at RW on a regular basis due to their popularity it seems.  Not a massive band in UK but they are in Belgium.  Happy if Biffy aren't that big in Belgium as it keeps me hoping they'll be announced.

It also makes me question the UK. Ha!

I saw Editors in Birmingham a few months ago, walked in and straight to the front.

I'm not sure why they aren't that big here in the UK.....

I'll be seeing them twice this year as they are supporting the Manic Street Preachers (yes, that's right).

Thanks for clearing that up. It made no sense on the surface haha

You and me both, unless there's something better on at the Barn or Klub

The Manics are a billion times the band Editors are.

Had pleasure of seeing them at the O2 when they played the 38 singles set.  Awesome

I was at that gig, hell of a set.

i remember being absolutely knackered after that night. And dripping in sweat waking back to Canary Wharf as the trains had stopped.

I'm not saying they aren't. I'm a bit of a super fan, I have actually lost count the amount of times I've seen them.

As one of my favourite records I went three times To The Holy Bible your last year/2014.

im just making the point that they are a pretty big support act.

Do you expect an announcement every friday or do you think we'll get the last acts later?

the line up is already great imo and I don't need any particular additions but seeing who's touring I'd like to see Cypress Hill, Moderat, Sufjan Stevens and few more (maybe some dance/hip hop act).

Anyway this lineup could be enough for me right now.

We're getting announcements every Friday until the lineup is done. There's about 25 acts still to be announced, so in 2 or 3 weeks the lineup should be completed.

With 57 already announced, 20-25 are still to be announced, like you said. So I still have high hopes for Tenacious D and Bloc Party being announced.

Even if Groezrock seems to make him unlikely, Frank Turner has been announced at Vainstream festival (Germany, 02/07)... Fingers crossed.

Frank would just be the best. Announce him and Biffy and I won't ask for anything else.

I'd like these on Friday.

Biffy

Billy Talent

Father John misty

Frank Turner

Killswitch engage

Preferably added between Thursday and Sunday

If Biffy, Billy talent and Frank got added that would potentially be the best announcement of the whole fest so far. Nothing is beat The Offspring into ATDI though....unless of course one of these are involved with it as well.

    • Avril gets above GC on rarity (see Cypress Hill this year). She drew in something like 70,000 at Glastonbury, so much so that they had to close the field off. I’d wager that she would get the biggest crowd of the entire weekend if she was to play DL.
    • We've reasonably predicted/wanted a bill of Blink, Avril, Good Charlotte for a while 😅    I'm surprised that Good Charlotte's UK shows in November seem to be doing well atm... obviously if they sell out those venues then they should be subheadliners right? (if they play download that is). They'd only look a strong sub if it was before Blink though I rekn.

    • Well Jason Isbell is on blistering form for this run of European gigs, wonderful night in Bristol
    • I am also interested in this. I was looking for past years, and it looks like it has a limited capacity.  I would love to see Ela Minus, but I guess I won't be able to make it in time, unfortunately.
