John Fairhurst - Hell Stage

Absolutely amazing tonight. The greatest guitar playing I've ever seen! Anybody else witness that? What a set.

If you didnt see it then he's playing a couple more times on other stages, seriously good guitar solos!

I was at the glade too. Just mind blowing. If Hendrix hadn't got there first, Fairhurst would be world famous.

When he was playing on hell stage he said he snuck onto the pyramid stage when they were setting it up on Monday or Tuesday and played voodoo chile. Ticked it off the bucket list!

Thanks to whoever suggested him on here, my highlight of the festival.

Such things were the norm 30 years ago, and countless pub bands did an almost identical thing (musically, and with showing off).

That's why he's not bigger than he is, as it's been done before and it's not the popular thing at the moment. If he was born a few decades earlier he'd be massive.

Still the best live guitarist I've ever seen though.

Some say he's Wigans answer to Jimi Hendrix, I say Jimi Hendrix is Seattles answer to John Fairhurst!

The cheer at end of his set on The Glade is probably the loudest I've ever heard at Glastonbury. Phenomenal stage presence.

Yes there was quite a lot of room. I couldn't believe the crowd for beans on toast. I was pleased to see them all leave..

I saw him at the glade and thought he was excellent, too metal heads with us however though it would have been better if he just stopped singing

saw him on Hell it was a great set in fact I was at hell from Beans on Toast all the way through to Slambree had a really great night

I saw him in a tiny bar in the permaculture area following zz birmingham, both were great. With some lovely homemade cider for £3 a pint that made for a great wednesday evening

Really enjoyed him at Hell and then again at The Glade. Love his voice, great guitarist but a little too widdly widdly at times.
