So are Portugal  going to win the tournament  without winning a match in 90 minutes?

I think they've rode their luck and it's due to run out.

Anyone not think France Germany Belgium to join them?

Fingers crossed for the Welsh.

Well done Wales.
But England are the only ones who got what they wanted.
Wales voted out & they are in
Northern Ireland voted in & they are out
Scotland voted in & ... well let's just not go there.
England voted out & all their dreams came true.

It's taken me a sleep to get my thoughts together.  I found myself a combination of happiness,  relief and shock.

It was a great performance  for Wales.  A lot of these players  are championship  standard  yet they seem to have an extra gear for Wales.  It was no fluke,  we defended well,  passes the ball well and took our chances.  We were a lot quicker to the ball than Belgium who looked a laboured group of individuals.  Hazard and Lukaku  were  awful.

I started the tournament  hoping to win 1 game  and score a goal.  We are in the semis  and top scorers in  the ttournamet. If it ends Wednesday  then it's still  been a bloody good ride,  I'm hoping it can continue  a few days more!

Outstanding result last night for Wales. I can't quite believe it.

I heard Danny Baker this morning suggesting that the England squad should tow the Wales open top bus through the streets of Cardiff.

Great performance.

Portugal are very beatable...

Yip. Incredible going into the semis but also with a great opportunity to reach the final :-)

Pity about the players missing out due to 2 yellows across 5 games. Seems a bit harsh. I'd go with a one game ban if you get a red for violent conduct and leave it at that.

Fans of whatever team should be seeing both teams at full strength by this stage in the tournament.

So anyway... predictions...?

Winners: Germany
Runners up: Spain
glorious semi-final losers: France.
glorious round of 16 losers: England

I can see definitely-satisfactory for all of Wales, NI & Ire, with at least one of them doing well. Which one? Depends how the luck rolls.

It's looking like i mostly did good, apart from Spain. France to lose tomorrow, I reckon. :P

And there's nothing lucky involved in the last Welsh win, so best of luck to them tonight. :)

Oh I think we had our fair share of luck in the last game and most others,  I would happily be lucky winners today.

I fear Portugal may be a step too far. While not as good individually as Belgium,  they are better organised. However we have nothing to lose.

    • sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.
    • Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
    • I think it will very much vary on who there is to book who they know will sell out a day.    They’ve co-headline and full headline stuff in future, there no reason at all they won’t do it again, even if it means cutting someone’s set by 15 mins or having a band less in a big bands day…   They’re not going to not book Foo fighters and instead get the equivalent of Florence and C&S just to not have a band do a big set…   …unless of course they think it will make them more money…
    • Maybe some right wing leaders like Meloni are just playing to their base, like Reform have been here talking about them ending up at Calais.
    • Citizenship via investment programs basically work by saying if you invest this much in our economy (say buy a property worth x) then we will either grant you citizenship or residency with a route to it. The EU has rules on how low countries can set the bar. Montenegro was one of the easier ones to get and they've had to tighten it up.
