The Placid Casual
Think we might be broadly stretching the definition of death threat now. It was a death threat and I shall seek legal action.

dentalplan
I got one by someone in college who's an Arctics fanboy. 'ooooh you went to that, I could kill you' Not the same I know I got a death threat from someone for going to see Arctic Monkeys too! Granted, it was from myself after seeing Portishead on iPlayer. Spindles
British threats for British people? I've never understood the threats of violence on the internet, when people like Russy have honed the insult to such an artform there are so many more creative ways to vent. LondonTom
People sent petitions and death threats to Emily over AM being booked? Missed that. I'd imagine there would have been someone, somewhere upset enough
Charles Carmichael
Nope, he got a refund when Emily defended her choice of booking. When I asked him if he'd like Coldplay his response was very similar to that of Kanye - (Personally I don't see why people think its because Kanye is black.... And just because someone doesn't like Kanye, it doesn't mean they MUST like Coldplay.) Also, he DID try to cancel the petition, and even wrote an open letter to Emily explaining that the joke went too far, but on doing this, he received threats from the haterz. Last I heard, he booked a bed at the RnL Hotel, citing Libertines, Metallica, Royal Blood, and Frank Turner, as "the making of a good weekend"

Charles Carmichael
When did Coldplay become a rock band?
Spindles
The weird thing is, Glastonbury is far from a rock festival. I'm sure he'll have a much better time at Reading, particularly if he's the sort who would prefer to stop in a hotel than spend time actually at the festival and just wants to go into the arena for a few hours each day. Glastonbury is absolutely nothing like that experience.
Twattybatty
Also, he DID try to cancel the petition Was this before or after he said he was going to present it to festival organisers?
Twattybatty
Reading this again.http://www.nme.com/news/kanye-west/83621 Awful stuff. If he had any self awareness he'd be too embarrassed to even go this year and just stay at home and cringe in his bed for 5 days.
Charles Carmichael
Before, I think. He got loads of grief for it and decided that he had to roll with it... He is camping at RnL (I was being poetic) Edited June 1, 2015 by Charles Carmichael
sjseabass
When did Coldplay become a rock band?Well it's more that they've moved away from being one, rather than become one. But they're about as rock as Fleetwood Mac, his main suggestion for who should have been booked instead.

topmarksbri
Nope, he got a refund when Emily defended her choice of booking. I don't think he did. I follow him on twitter and he's been posting loads of shite about looking forward to Glastonbury.

Spindles
Where was this open letter he wrote?
topmarksbri
Why would you do that to yourself Originally because I was curious if he'd try and explain his actions (he hasn't) and to see the top #banter he was receiving (he did not take it very well) and now his account is private so I don't want to unfollow because then I can't refollow without him approving of it. It's a bit of a goldmine though, the other day he tweeted scouting for girls alluding to them as rock stars.
sjseabass
Be pretty funny if the Saturday headliners on the top stages are Kanye, deadmau5, Mothership, Jon Hopkins and FKA Twigs and he has no rawwwwk to watch.
CaledonianGonzo
Be pretty funny if Kanye wears a t-shirt with his face on it and leads a singalong of 100k people calling him a tube.
