Muse are far more in the mainstream conscious, more present in popular culture than current Radiohead that's literally the only difference.

Radiohead moved away from all of that a long time ago, while still creating amazing music and keeping the aura about them.

Their fanbases would be pretty much identical in size at a place like Glastonbury, perhaps Muse would even be larger on balance if there are more casual ticket holders at Glastonbury than the long standing traditional music fans.

I like to think that I'm fairly up to date, so when I've NEVER heard of a band it hurts a bit...

I know exactly how you feel. When I first joined these boards and I discovered that Manchester was in fact not centre of the musical world and people liked other bands, I was gob smacked. It was like that moment in the Truman show when he realises there was actually more to the world. It took me a long time to acclimatise.

Now when people talk about bands that I have never heard of, I don't immediately think they are crap as they are not from Manchester and I look upon it as an opportunity to learn about new bands and good music. LCD Soundsystem may not have won me over but the people on here have put me onto some really good music :-)

I loved it at the time but after sober analysis it turns out it was in fact a load of complete shit.

He tried to have it barred, but because Radiohead own the rights and have granted permission, it is there to stay.

This is the only time I would advise reading the comments under any youtube video, but they explain the situation. In fact, P***** himself tweeted a link to it...

Angus and Stevie in Scotland, Brian in Newcastle, Cliff in London and Chris in Wales

I don't really care for any of the remaining rumoured headliners. Loved Radiohead's early stuff until OK computer. Muse I have never understood why they are so popular and Adele is just a bit boring. However if they are all announced it wouldn't bother me. I don't get why people going to a festival with so much on are worried about headliners of 1 stage. 

Personally I think and hope there might be a surprise headliner that hasn't been talked about much. It's madness that people are arguing about acts that may even not be at Glastonbury.  At the same time I wouldn't be surprised or disappointed if Radiohead, Muse and Adele played as they're just 3 acts of thousands playing.

Cheer up people let's wait until April to make up our minds on the line up.
