not that it matters at all. i mean... they're headlining. we all know that. but always nice to have a confirmation, even if it is a stinker

Well it could be worse than coldplay, but id rather full confirmation of any headliner at this point in time

On what planet is Paul McCartney worse than Coldplay?

I don't find him very entertaining maybe that's my young mind but id get more entertainment from coldplay. And I'm not coldplay's biggest fan either. But that's my personal opinion and alot obviously won't agree with me either.

the same planet where he plays and you have to put up with every dickhead on site walking round screaming Nah nah nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, hey Jude  in your face every 10 meters

You should be cast into the Mersey young man.

I'd take Hey Jude over Yellow - and it's rubbish.

they're both jarg but I've never been in a put at 2am with someone screaming at me to look at the stars

it's all cause and effect, he sings = they sing, if your remove the jowly cause then the problem never happens

Hooray, some naysayers about McCartney!  When he played in 2004, I found myself walking off, until he played another Beatles tune, when I walked back towards the stage, only to be repelled when he played "Jet" or some other such shit.

And don't get me started on the actual performances - hearing the Penny Lane trumpet played unconvincingly on a cheap keyboard patch is just cheap and lazy.  He wrote+recorded some great songs, but the man has been coasting since The Beatles split.  I ended up walking off entirely before Hey Jude and I was only a little bit bothered.

I'm 37 and love my Beatles records, but his solo stuff stinks + that performance did not do those recordings justice.

*prepares to be downvoted to oblivion, just like every other time this subject comes up!*

It kinda reminds me of Noel Gallagher, i watched him at rock wercher and his oasis stuff was pretty good but his other stuff also stinked besides the odd 1-2 songs which i expected better of. And i agree with Paul's solo stuff then comparing it to his Beatles stuff.

    • Out of interest (I could look but being lazy), do Mad Cool repeat that quickly? They only played last year
    • This basically!, it's about as clear as day they'll be there.
    • Yeah there is no down time, I'm still tired and over thinking from last weeks work. A big reality check this week. If you just do it for the money you always will.
