Ed Sheeran but not part of the X tour :P

Very odd about Muse, must have been their Download contract or something kicking in. Hopefully though it means they want to play it and maybe will finish up the tour their next year?

(Suits me as I can't go this year anymore :P)

Is this sarcasm at work?

Anyway I reckon special guests will be Chic Featuring Nile Rogers.

A poor attempt at it

If Muse were to play they'd surely be one of if not the most expensive act on the lineup so with them pulling out Bestival will have quite a fair bit of money left in the pot. Do we reckon they'll manage to get someone big or will it be something appalling like the Kaiser Chiefs?

I was getting pretty drunk sat outside the tent by the bar when they came enjoying people watching & couldn't be arsed to move. No idea why they were considered special guests/worthy of not being announced unless it was a very late booking.

Not that I was that bothered about seeing them anyway, but it seemed like a prime opportunity to leave to get physio (from my mate who is a physio), because some random dickhead had rugby tackled me briefly before, destroying my Wilson fancy dress, and fucked my back up, and made me lose my sunglasses, all in one swift motion. My back was fucked for about 3 weeks afterwards. I hope he fell off the ferry on the way home. Only dickhead I've ever encountered at besti. But the amount of people around who saw it and came to check I was alright somewhat restored a bit of the faith I have in the besti crowd

    • I've come across a few this weekend saying Deftones aren't big enough for Download.   I would recommend b&b hotel hbf the night before....cheap, comfortable and very decent. Within 10 minutes from the station and a tram stop outside to jump on...all travel is free during the festival time as well with a kombi. Lidl is very good and cheap I can't lie....€6 for a chair with carey handle, €20 with a bag too...you can work that out yourself.   If you camp, get up at 5am and go to the queue....literally don't question it as now I know.     The travel wise part is easy when you get the hang of it and I've never had an easier exit from a festival today tbh. We were camped in the turn left section but past the registration and to get water you have to come right out.   Opening up an exit through he camp at least by Friday morning when everyobe is there would be much better but you csnt walk through general if you're green and sonon.   I think the issue for me probably too is I have never taken like a mutliple litre water too, I've always done a 6 pack water from like poundland lol but you definitely need it. I had one shower that was cold lol   Talking of getting into the front, Volbeat was the only easy one, for Maiden and especially Linkin Park if you weren't in the queue for it by at least the last quarter ot Architects you had no hope....it was shocking. I do like orbit to sit down. I had to decide to sack off Within Temptation too or no chance.   Second stage biggest gripe is the faff of walking all the way round when VIP or whatever it is literally get access to each bit. I did read tbh before going people though RIP/Ring was turning too much the wrong way.   Also as a side note, caught some of Limp Bizkit last night too and they are not headliner but any distance at all. Yes they pull a crowd...they would do with LP finished but on the grand scale its a super weak booking. Stop, start for video recordings all the way through a headline set?, 1hr 15 minutes and you can't play for that time. I'm so glad they were not chosen to headline main.   On another thing, if RIP played it right they'll get GC and Avril to sub/second stage headline on the Blink day.   Toilets and cleanliness is a big plus I will say that.
    • Any of the likes of Keo, Basht. and Cardinals could all fit in here.  Although they’re the sort of bands that could fit many of the stages at Glastonbury
    • Glasto loves a come back act - how about the Rapture?
    • Yeah mentioned in the park thread but feel more Woodsies to me
