I read something earlier about AC having four offers currently out for headliners, with one having already verbally agreed to play. This is believed to be Tool, supposedly.

I think that SOAD and Sabbath will both headline next year. Coupling that with the Tool thing what Copping has said about BMTH not being headline sized for 2016, I came up with this:

System Of A Down

Bring Me The Horizon

Limp Bizkit

Killswitch Engage

Papa Roach

Brand New

Tool

Deftones

Incubus

Mastodon

Coheed and Cambria

Alice Cooper

Black Sabbath

Bullet For My Valentine

Motörhead

The Darkness

Airbourne

All Time Low

On nearly every prediction for Download I see, I just want to grab a load of acts from other days and chuck them in. The thing about Download is, it's not far enough away that if there was two days I wanted to do, but closer to the new Reading price, I'd potentially just go up and back for both days.

Last I heard 2 have verbally agreed to play, but to be honest that means nothing. There's been many over the years and then never ended up playing.

Foos were one of them last year and then decided to do Glasto instead.

Just stick with Reading. We don't mind. Honest.

Leeds you mean, in the words of you Scots, 'Reading has pish sound'. Although both are comfortably better run festivals.

The walk at Reading is absolute bollocking mind you but it is flat path. If I wanted to walk for ages on end up hills I'd do the three peaks challenge lol.

Leeds is an awfully run festival. The logistics in the arena seem to be made to create bottle necks and crushes. Whenever there's heavy rain they do fuck all about the flooding. Where the nme stage is now creates huge knee high puddles of water inside the tent as well. Downloads only problem is the distance of the campsite to the car park and arena.

I haven't been since 2012 if I'm honest as it hasn't been value for money, it still wasn't then to be honest. If Download did only have one problem that's the worst one, a mate went who said turning up Wed Eve got them in a much closer car park but I can't be arsed to pay extra for that. It clearly doesn't just have one issue though, I think we clearly know there was MASSIVE issue's this year, Twitter didn't get a bashing for nothing. I won't go into anymore as personally it's all opinion.

In all fairness though, Leeds has wide area both sides of the main stage, you can't really do a lot to stop crowd congestion past that.

The fact they aint put any new material out since they last played in 2011 it will virtually be the same setlist. Also Andy said their stock has lowered since they subbed Reading festival, just because they sold out Wembley Arena quickly doesn't mean they can and should headline again without anything new, it was their first arena show over here in years in London so not exactly hard to sell out. I like System but I think someone else should headline until they put something out

There are rumours of a new album and if they did then they could defiantly headline. Also Andy just talks shit about other festivals just because he is a prick, he said that Deftones weren't a sub when they played Soni. SOAD would be really popular and would go down well with festival goers so I don't see the problem

Slipknot did nothing between 09 and 13, didn't see too many complain. Aerosmith did nothing between 10 and 14 and I didn't see too many people complain. The sub slot at Leeds was better than 11. If it was exactly the same setlist I would be delighted. Or maybe you'd prefer something new like Kanye West?

    • Pretty sure some will be more than that.
    • It's a shame for lots of bands cancelling tours due to poor ticket sales but I'm one of the culprits as I'll wait now closer to the time as theres always a chance of a seat filler or Twickets for half the price. If the bands charged a reasonable price to start with then they'll sell out regardless. Look at Paul Heaton, £39+fees tickets for arenas where some bands are charing £150+fees for the same arena. Prices for drinks in those places is a joke too so many pick and choose.
    • Might just wait it out for the summer shows that got mentioned tbh
    • Good on him i think, though it depends on whether he really does love the music (like Steve Davis) or is just moving into it as a bizarre career option (Gok Wan, from the ten mins i observed from the side of a field once, stood there with no idea whats going on)
    • Better Man, Black maybe. I guess was the same for Metaliica.   They do have a history of bringing on some big guests, for example Pete Townsend and play Who numbers. My gut is they would prob pull it off but they'd get a section of crown leave after a bit. I don't see it happen even though I'd love it.    Other Stage would be immense.   I seem to remember Emily Eavis watching at a Wembley arena night and if it was regular gig with more random unknown fan favourite songs she saw she prob thought not suitable for Pyramid.
