Bicep are doing RAH on thursday 26th of november - announced it at corsica on Sunday night (it was unreal!).

I assume it will be announced fairly soon, it was on a QR code on a t shirt they gave out for free as you left corsica - but they also posted a photo of the t shirt on their story which I reckon was scannable (didn't try). I assume it will be a preorder the album to get access kind of thing.

Random question for the group, anyone know a good club in Madrid where 6 guys in their late 30’s wouldn’t feel out of place, preferably on the smaller side. Big fan of places like Phonox for the London people amongst you and a similar vibe to that would be great (I appreciate this is very dependent on who is playing)

Have you got dates so we can look on RA? I'd follow the DJ personally rather than the club recommendation when abroad - will ensure that at least the musics good! The DJ is usually fairly telling of how the crowd will be

Superb.

Was saying the other day I still need to tick off RAH, so this will be the perfect way to do it.

Went to see Tomora last night at EartH. Was a big queue outside well before doors opened and then an even bigger one when we joined around 7:20pm. Didn't take that long to get in and we managed to stand quite close to the front in the centre. Not sure who was DJing on warm up duties but their set was great. Really enjoyed hearing the Spiritcatcher remix of 'Starwaves' by Kirk DeGeorgio for the first time in a while but it was a lovely selection of tunes throughout.

They came on just before 9 and kicked off with 'Ring the alarm' which was a nice statement of intent. Tom was behind a desk full of equipment in the usual Chems style while Aurora was out front with a backing singer/dancer. I only know a couple of the tracks they've released so far but they also played 'Eve of Destruction' which went down particularly well. Lights, visuals and sound were all spot on but crowd was a bit flat. Didn't spoil our fun though and was really happy to have caught them in such an intimate setting, as you never know with these sorts of projects how long they'll be around? Think all the other live dates announced so far are outside the UK but will definitely go and see them again if the opportunity arises.

It’s not until July so way too early to look at listings yet I was just curious if anyone knew of somewhere decent. Our Glasto group have decided to go to Mad Cool and have just booked so I was excited and getting carried away but we are pretty happy to sack off the Thursday or possibly the Friday for a proper night of dancing

thanks for the reply tho, will just keep an eye out nearer the time

They've just announced Glasgow + the Roundhouse (a second night there tbc too)

The support was James Holyroyd - he often opens for the chems and is a longtime mate of theirs

Yes, did spot that a little while ago which is good news! I'm also on holiday the week of the London date(s) so pretty sure we'll go again.

Did wonder if it was James Holroyd but was too dark on stage to see properly. Have caught him a few times before, most recently at the Bugged Out weekender, and he is always quality. Do remember one time though when I saw the Chems at a late night Brixton Academy show. He was on after but literally the whole crowd walked out once they'd finished, which is never nice for any DJ.

yeah he was pretty good at Bugged! gets the audience.

RE chems at Brixton - last tubes i guess, not exactly easy to follow them either! I'd probably leave too honestly

Anyone ever been to this? Line up looks pretty good.

Looking for a decent day festival for July and August, recommendations welcome!

This or one of the J2 events is your best bet, noting J2 is slimmed down to 2 stages this year.

There's also stuff at the Greenwich Naval College and Silverworks Island / Magazine Open Air, but its mostly shite. Boiler Room fest too.

Burgess Park is a good venue, i liked it last year.

Hi, appreciate this isn't about Glasto per se, but it is Glasto adjacent - and you guys all seem helpful and friendly, anyway...

I really enjoyed this set, was wondering if you could recommend some other sets that are in a similar vein? I guess to explain more what I enjoyed about it, the tunes being more crowd favourites rather than techno / dance tracks I don't know - the overall vibe ... hope that makes some sort of sense! Thanks in advance! 🙂

Many people on here going to Boomtown? Any scope for a meet-up? Only got a small group going so keen to meet others from here if anyone’s up for it

my mate got me standing from RAH - o2 priority was actually fairly easy. £69 from RAH, £82 from o2 via TM

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
