Hoping for them too! Missed it on Hurricane Festival last year, so I'm waiting for the second chance.

Btw: Muse & Pharrell changed positions at the "line-up-list". Hopefully we will get a very strong sub for him at least.

Is Rise Against the sub for the Foo's? Nearly everywhere they take bigger spots, but last time they played Werchter at breakfast time ...

Dont know how big they are but people here said that Florence +the Machine will sub Foo's . She played higher then Rise Against last time and it will be weird if she'll play between those two so I guess they'll play a similar place as last time or one place higher

Great stuff. Hopefully they can bulk up the poor Pharrell announcement with The Prodigy and I'll already be set for the weekend.

Anything else would be a bonus. Very impressed!

Quick question for any non-campers. I'm booked to stay in Leuven over the weekend. The free travel from Brussels and to/from the festival site is a great bonus but is there anything to do in Leuven whilst the festival is on? Or is everything dead except for the festival up the road?

I spotted that Fleetwood Mac are touring Europe at the same time as RW is on. They have a gig on the 24th June (London) but not another one on there schedule until the 27th (London again). So they are free that weekend according to their website. Possibly playing RW on the 25th/26th??

id love to see them there to be honest!

Leuven is a studentcity and a lot of students have their last exams at that time. So there will be some parties and you can always check the bars on the old market!

Curious, does a band playing Groezrock usually rule them out of RW?

Every Groezrock international band can't announce a belgian gig before the festival (1st & 2nd May). Every year pukkelpop announce 2 or 3 Groezrock bands the day that the festival ends (this year NOFX, Touche Amore and PUP). i think that RW has it's line up closed in may so Groezrock close Werchter and Dour doors

    • Sam Fender, Harry Styles, Sabrina Carpenter is a very bland set of headliners. Commercially successful and makes plenty of sense, but it wouldn't be very inspirising. That said I want a band like Green Day to headline so who am I to say what exciting is.
    • Potentially rogue shout here but could see Rebecca Black in the running for a mid-afternoon spot. I know most people still remember her for Friday but lately she’s been putting out a lot of fun pop bangers, think this could be a very fun booking!
    • FFS why when there are pull outs does it always include so many of the names I had as must sees!
    • This is a pretty petulant stance.   I oppose him headlining because I love coming to Slam Dunk and he would be a very big reason why I wouldn't come. That doesn't mean they can't choose to do so, they obviously can, I would just stop coming to that version of Slam Dunk.   Another name that I'll throw out there as name I'd love is Biffy Clyro.
    • There is possibly a weak link in the ticket buying system, no matter how clever the technical controls get. I just spent 20 minutes this morning hammering the ‘Buy Tickets’ button while the web page kept telling me there weren’t enough tickets remaining to meet my request. Eventually it changed its mind and let me buy two tickets. Most likely because of failed payments in the queue ahead of me. So - just like it did in the good old F5 days - pig-headed blind persistence can sometimes pay off.   BTW, the tickets were for the Whispering Bob Harris evening in the Albert Hall on 2nd December.
