Ye know, with the amount of wet stuff coming down over here it has to be a sign really that its just emptying itself out, making the grass all nice and green and ready to soothe our bottoms when we get to Worthy Farm and need to take a rest from all the walking in the heat.

I'm trying to break in a newish pair of Dr Martens - i fear I have left this too late

Oooh plenty of time is needed for this especially the 10 eye ones they always seem the 'pinchiest'

Good evening, Lovelies

Have been somewhat remiss in my NFR thread posting over the last few days. I have no idea why (especially with the volume of endearing bollocks posted here!), but I almost feel as if I need to have something 'worthy' to say, to post here. Don't worry, I know that's entirely ridiculous.

It was cracking down with aquatic precipitation earlier today - very w*t walk in the woods. Curlygirl, I hope you're holding up OK. It must be a very tough time at the moment...:(. Thinking of you, often...

Little Orlagh is really limp at the moment. It's odd. When she gets up she's clearly very uncomfortable on her left front leg, but then in the woods will tear around like the proverbial nutter, seemingly as right as r**n! I've, ahem, examined her carefully (well, kids, small animals, where's the difference, for goodness' sake?!) and can find no bone, joint, muscle or tendon that hurts. So, I've concluded that she has pain in her shoulder that I can't demonstrate by examination! There, £250 in vets' fees saved!

I bought some new laces for my fabbo waterproof walking boots this evening, so they'll be shipshape to sit unused in the tent for 5 days! All hail the Weather Gods etc.

Child 2 had her second GCSE today - English Lit (To Kill A Mockingbird and An Inspector Calls) - and feels ok about it..'it was hard. I wrote loads.' Always good - O levels were quantity over quality,as I recall!

Child 3 has had braces fitted and is really struggling with his trumpet. This has clearly made him feel bit down and worried, as he has his Grade 7 in July. We agreed that he will just practise little and often until his mouth remembers how to work again.

Was anyone else following the Secret Resales thread? It's been like a gripping serial drama! It does seem as if most of those on there, who had put in an enormous amount of time in website monitoring, got their just rewards in nabbing a ticket. This festival and its spirit really is like no other, isn't it?

Currently listening to Run The Jewels. I am, in theory, a big hip-hop fan, but so much of it is just uninventive, poor rhythm, beats and direction, but I do like these guys and, clashes-willing, would probably try to see them in June. Anyone with me?!

Anyhoo, hope everyone is well on here. I'll try to be a better poster.

love

Ben

Evening all!

Ben, no I've not heard of them but I haven't started my glasto music training yet! I should do soon really.

Hope child 3 gets his head (or chops, rather) round the trumpet. As it were. Grade 7 is a great standard to get to!

HMV you!ve got a point re the damp stuff. I think you might be right :)

I know I'm a hopeless optimist, but I also believe his to be the case - a bit of a w*t late spring to make Worthy look beautiful, only enhancing the experience in a dry, slightly dusty festival! I will bring my (almost faultless) luck for good festival weather with me...

    • I'm inclined to agree, but if GC sell out the dates they have in Nov, I'm not sure they'd settle for 3rd down is my feeling
