Oh and Genie, hope the reflexology is going well?

Not too bad, just a lack of clients to practice on. Officially supposed to do another 35 treatments before course finishes (which is the Tuesday before Glasto). Might have to cheat a bit ;)

Van washed badly, loads of stuff thrown in so that it rattles about whilst driving to work next week and a certain amount of spirits, beer and cider purchased. Just the proper cider (not that Burrow Hill muck from the cider bus) to buy from Mr Heck and we are hot to trot. The tickets for BT turned up this morning whilst we were out and so we will play ticket roulette and see if they are at the post office on Thursday on the way to Derbyshire (north of the M4 unfortunately, passport and jabs may be required).

SUn is shining and it is tres jolie a Pilton.

Bad news is that security appear to be on the entrances to the farm, may have to see if we can snurgle in early tomorrow.

snurgle is used in this context meaning to sneak in and take a look, going in low and slow when used in flying terms. Slang for sneaking in. Nothing to do with whatever the "urban" w*nkers think. Wearing your work outfit and looking like a bush when sneaking up on wild pork, you would be snurgling about. Pronunciation more correctly would be Schnurgle and the spelling could also be that. It means being sneaky (and possibly nicking things)

snurgles are also enemies from the legend of zelda and are small blue and yellow flying elephants.

Now off to see Reginald D Hunter. Have a good evening all.

Evening all :)

What a peculiar day! Started as a trip to hospital for a potential emergency, turned into a lovely sunny family day at the park with fun at the playground and walks round a lake. Just cooking dinner, then happy to cwtch up on the sofa for a film.

If you're ever up my way and fancy a treatment you will be most welcome :)

Why thank you! And yes, finbarrtastic!

I don't usually go in for treatments and things like that, mainly because I don like strangers poking about with me! But you are not a stranger, so yes, I would, if I am ever up you way. Fnar.

Had similar convo in the pub earlier actually, I'm all for massage etc but it's the fact that its a stranger doing it that I just can't get on with!

In other news, I may be. A little bit tipsy. Hic.

Evening all, sunny day in Leeds, so good practice for June.

Who's opening you village fete Dee?

I don't want to spoil the surprise but I got some old gezza on Sunday who's going to judge the dog show I think.

Our cake stall is outstanding. and as for the tombola....

Tombola? I never win on them. Is there a bottle stall?

Sorry - no glass policy in our fete

Fair point. I like hot dogs, any dodgy hot dog vans setting up?

Energy's gone, night all :-)

    • Go on then, who's going to win? I'm going for France...
    • They’re even making AdP craft beers now. Nice IPAs too.
    • I don't think a whole raft of attendees who've been going every year since the mid 90s and mid 10s collectively all thinking the festival is no longer for us suggests we've all aged out of it at the same time. Something fundamental has changed and its pretty obvious what that is. The fact that theyve managed to skinny down the line up so much AND STILL get punters in is a real credit to the bookers, filling it with enough of the current thing to get the kids excited for a weekend while pulling in enough big names to make it worth a day out for the casual Florence fan etc... is impresive. Re Leeds: Annecdotally, from videos, numbers have looked tiny vs Reading, esp on the camping end of things, it would be good to know the official numbers and how much they're down from the peak sell out years
    • Found it, it simply is at the toilets.
