He has dropped from 5kg to 4.35kg in 2 days and his middle has shrunk massivly.

He is so much happier - loads of fluid trapped somehow!!!!

Fingers crossed all will be well and the heart murmour was just linked to excess weight

That's brilliant news. Well done to Duo for having the willpower I dont!! Ah I am pleased Matty

Hi Babs

Hi Lucy

Hi All!

I've been a bit busy on lots of threads on here today.

Headliner thread is getting seriously fight at times. Lack of line-up info is really getting to people, big style.

I'm remaining cool, calm and only slightly sarcastic in my posts! Mr G called for a doctor early on, but I was too late and I'm afraid we lost them.

;)

Hope everyone here is OK. Great cat news, matty!

Oh, and Cg - how bruised were you by the end of your training?

I was training twenty 14-year old rugby lads last night and feel like I've done 12 rounds with Tyson!

Ben

Well... Yep, I feel a bit like that. My wrists, back and knees are hurting, as well as muscular. I'm getting too old! All very good fun tho. 8 hours of fighting!!! Love it.

Hi Ben, well done for braving the headliner thread ;)

I quite like it!

Without being too much of a pompous arse, I can usually linguistically run rings around anyone trying to be a mean dickhead, and I'm getting some nice responses to my posts, so I'll stick with it.

Given that I am now entirely obsessed with all things pertaining to Pilton 2015, I am struggling to stay off the forum for any significant period of time!!

Bon flippeur, Babs

(I'm off to Paris on Saturday as Mrs Ben is running to marathon!)

Ben

Oh Ben its a great marathon, has your wife done it before? Is she doing it for charity? What time is she hoping for? It's a beautiful route, I walked 23 miles of it in 2010. My boyfriend ran it in around 5 hours 10. Which was pretty good given he started training 4 weeks before and his training consisted of one 9 hour run per week. He's a postie and pretty fit anyhow so he jogged round, sampling as much food and wine as he could on the way. His next marathon was in Wellington and he knocked an hour and 20 mins off his time. Not bad for an over 50.

Ben, I have given you my upvotes for the day, you had a few negatives and in my opinion didn't deserve them.

Thank you everyone for the Anniversary wishes 28 years this year (blimey)

Sorry not been around much today, not had a good day due to new tablets also been running around getting things ready for our weekend away.

Will not be on much this weekend as staying in a forrest, I doubt there will be a mobile signal let alone mobile data. I will try and check in when possible.

Have fun everyone, enjoy the sunshine, do not get wound up about headliners and finally remember the Glastonbury Spirit. (Blimey sound like a preacher, sorry)

Hugs peace and good cider (or drink of your desire)

No, first tome in Paris for her, having done London in 2010 and, like so many, sworn never again only to find herself lining up for another some years later!

I expect to cover a fair amount of ground on Sunday, but not 23 miles!!! Well done you - and hubby.

I'm hoping that she can do around 4h45m. She's in better shape this time, and I've insisted that she is very disciplined with sticking to the training plan - especially tapering off in this last 7-10 days. She'd be a classic for thinking that surely running more will help!!! She did 4h55m in London, and although now 46 and five years on, I really reckon she'll ace it. Only problem I've read about is that some parts can get very congested, so that might stop one running at the pace they want to for a bit.

Anyway, full report to follow after the weekend - or probably after the race if I can find some wi-fi!

Ben
