See Nova Rock have made some announcements

Lot of acts who I wonder would fit in now like Gaslight Anthem, All Time Low, Frank Turner, Lamb of God.

Think they could play 4th down main? sub second stage?

Gaslight to sub second stage to BSC?

Lamb of God to sub second to Manson?

All Time Low under ADTR?

Frank Turner under Slash?

Surely all time low would be above adtr? I reckon they won't play.

Hey lucky, I think a lot could play , although I can't see Frank Turner playing. I reckon Billy idol under slash and rise against under adtr. The others I'd put where you have.

Dunno. They all seem too big for the available slots.

Could see the likes of Lamb of God or other acts you'd expect in bigger slots taking a remaining slot as there might not be anywhere else in the UK for them to play but I'd say ATL, Frank Turner, Gaslight and perhaps Rise Against could show up at the end of summer for Reading and Leeds instead.

Turner had a high profile slot at Reading on main in 2013, you reckon he'll be back in 2015?

He could end up anywhere really I guess.

Im not too fussed about any of them, Lamb of God are always welcome however.

Id like Rise Against though, im still to see them. The others Ive all seen.

With his new album coming out Id say Frank Turner is destined for a top 3 spot and Reading and leeds.

Are all of the acts announced playing the main stage? just found out Im going and wondered if any are 2nd stage headliners.

Black Stone Cherry, Marilyn Manson and Enter Shikari are 2nd stage headliners.

I'm intrigued to find out how you 'just found out you were going' ?

Lots of bands about Euro fests that you’d think would get decent Download spots –

Incubus, Gaslight, ZZ Top, Frank Turner, Lamb of God, Alice Cooper, Motorhead, Rise Against, All Time Low, In Flames.

Now we know Sonisphere is happening & R&L will likely put a bunch of ‘Download friendly’ bands on the Metallica day (at least) I wonder who’ll end up where?

I saw that, but doesn't mean it is. Someone also said they've booked hotels in the area.

You have to think Soni is owned by this new group in Germany and all they've announced so far, all the headliners for those fests are playing different fests in the UK. If it was going ahead you'd imagine the UK edition would have at least one. I can't think who they would grab at UK soni, GNR maybe, not much more acts on the scene this year.

Just checked the novotel which is right by the entrance and that's fully booked on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of July

    • All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.
    • Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.
    • Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
    • If Dolly Parton could do it, I highly doubt it. Just not right for it.   This
