Best full line up in years?

Personally across the board I think there is something for everyone.

From Thursday night onwards there is something great on this year. Some times are a bit more barren than others, but there is 1 decent act to see or, they are on next so Ill check out who's on before them.

No "blow you away" monster act like the stones or bowie, but Im really pleased with the full line up.

Great job done this year.

Definatly fewer wow acts for me but still far more acts I want to see than it'll be possible to see. Already starting to discover some new acts via the spotify lists and recomendations from friends so I'll soon end up with even more clashes!

Maybe its the fact I missed out in 2013 so its 3 years since I was on the farm.

Im really pleased with this. No "wow" factor, but some great acts.

I was looking through other line ups.. how bad in comparison was 2008?!

I have almost pissed my pants seeing that line up. Something for everyone, and dance music wise, for me is outstanding. I know I am building it up as it's my first Glasto (and maybe my last for a long time being out in Oz), but I know this is gonna be the closest thing I'm gonna have to a full on religious experience. I am that fucking excited it's scary.

Sunday is looking a bit sparse fro me, at least based on music I know, not upset about it though because that gives me more time to experiment! Friday in particular is looking incredible!

The Sun Ra Arkestra -> TuNe-YaRdS -> Jurassic 5 run on the West Holts is God-tier

Not for me - I preferred 2011 and 2013 (but I don't like dance at all and byt he sounds of it that's making people happy). I saw 2 headliners on the Pyramid in 2011 and all 3 last year - this year I will see none. It's all relative of course!

I'm not bothered at all anyway, it will give me more time to wander and see things I wouldn't normally which is no bad thing. Can't wait!

I'm happy for everyone who thinks it's great but for me it's the worst I can remember. There's not a single headliner on any stage that I'm desperate to see, the running order is bizarre, and there's far too many mediocre artists on there. But I'm not a big Dance fan either, which maybe has something to do with it.

Anyhow a poor Glastonbury line up is still better than most other festivals, and there's still enough to keep me occupied, but nowhere near as excited as last year, or most other years I've been. I think it's partly a case of who's touring at the moment - I suspect next year will be back on form!

I quite like the fact that I don't Have a Pyramid headliner this year. I am only seeing one act on it over the weekend, unless I decide to go to Dolly its only WOD. Saturday is a bit sparse and will use it to check out other stuff between the 3 or 4 acts i'll be watching, might try to discover the odd new one on a smaller stage. Sunday has me running around like an idiot, not sure I can take it all in! Thunderbirds/ Horrors/ Wailers? St Vincent/ Ellie/ Massive Attack, I am hoping that the timings are kind to me and that the Park will finish early again like last year for it all to fall into place.

    • It feels really busy this year, loads of big groups of youngsters too. Slightly different vibe to previous years I've been. As with Tramlines, they're very chatty during sets and there's a constant stream of them in and out of the crowd... definitely feeling my age 😂   The Quarry stage I think is a lot smaller than previous years - seems similar size to Squid/Leadmill. Some sets have been difficult to get in.   I think I've reached my limit with mid-tier indie guitar bands. There's been quite a few this weekend where I've gone over to see them then walked away after 20 mins. Surprisingly, enjoyed the Fratellis set the most in this genre. Probably getting on for 20 years since I last saw them. Wasn't expecting them to do Yes Sir, I Can Boogie, which was fab!   Hugely enjoyed the Happy Mondays yesterday, and same but different with Radio Free Alice who I saw again on Friday, following Tramlines last weekend. A big run of pop acts today - Scissor Sisters will be fantastic!
