Showers

Didn't they used to have some basic showers in the camping fields? They were unisex and only had cold water but did the job.

Anyone else remember these or was I trippin and just having a wash in someone else's tent?

We paid the £59 for the powder rooms so we can get a hot shower and a shite in comfort. I take pride in smelling normal and shiting is also a great part of the day for me so a no brainer.

I understand if people want to jump about with sweaty balls all day but not for me.

Considering the amount of infrastructure that's been built, a few shower blocks dotted around shouldn't be too difficult to put in. I wonder if it may be due to concern over water wastage or possibly the heating of the water.

I've used them the last two years, but this year I'm DIYing with a solar shower. I really struggle with not washing my hair, and it has been lovely to do it there as it tends to go quite ridiculous if I don't blow dry and straighten my hair, but they've put their prices up massively and paying over £20 to wash and dry my hair is absolutely bonkers, so I shall embrace looking ridiculous!

Always been part of the never showered at Glasto club too, but this year am gonna get a pass to Lost Horizon sauna, sounds like you can just use the shower and that there is far less queueing involved. Although i reckon i will do the sauna too, be a treat

I had one shower at Glasto, I was walking in the Greenfields and noticed the was no queue and thought 'ah fuck it, the dry shampoo stopped working a long time ago' and I felt way better for it. I may have one this year but usually I just bring a watering can, fill it up before I go to bed and then use that in the morning for a poor mans shower. Leave the can in direct sunlight for a wee bit and it's not too cold either.

proud to be in the 'no-shower' club myself. bucket hair wash a couple of times, but otherwise swear by anti-bac 'toddler-wipes' in, on and around all the relevant bits daily.

too much to do to waste any time unnecessarily showering.

man up and get out there.

I use the Greenpeace ones every year. Normally go Thu or Fri and then again on Sunday. They change from year to year but have in the past done a meat counter ticket jobby. Go get your ticket, grab a coffee and the free paper from info. Loll around a bit, shower...win.

When I have had to queue it's moved pretty quickly to be fair and definately been worth it.

If you are a bit body shy wear shorts or a bikini. even though they are no longer communal there are gaps in the tarp where people can see through to the other side.

Why don't women learn to like the hair, and hair colour, they were born with?

If all women woke up tomorrow happy with how they looked imagine how much money and time we'd all save

Always crazy queues for the showers, and I think the worst time to go for a shower is in the morning. Probably best to go mid-afternoon when people are out and about.

Remember seeing the daily counter board for male and female showers last year, females at about 320 and males at about 80! Just goes to show that men don't give a shit how bad they smell. xD

I have come out of the showers at Glastonbury once before and had to walk back to camp. By the time I got back I was caked in dust again anyway.
