Always an air bed... If it was just one or two nights I could sleep on the floor but I would literally be dead on my feet by day 5 of Glasto if I didn't have something comfortable to sleep on!!

i don't really understand why people don't just bring an actual pillow - you can get them new, rolled up into tubes in places like Marks & Spencer, for like a fiver. just attach it to the back of your rucksack or whatever, barely takes up any space, weighs absolutely nothing

Self-inflating mat - I have got two camping pillows, one fleece & one self-inflating, but I think I might get a cheap pillow this year!

I have terrible problems with my back, but I don't find it gets any worse after 5 nights on the self-inflating mat!

I took a double airbed last year as I sleep on my side so get sore hips otherwise. The only problem was that me and my sister rarely went to sleep at the same time and you need 2 people on it to balance it properly (I collapsed onto it one night and she bounced off the side; she got up for the loo and I sunk to the floor, etc...)

I've bought us two single airbeds instead for this year, with attached (but separately inflated) pillows and storage space so should be pretty damn comfy this year :beach:

£12ish from here if anyone's interested, I've bought a few things from them recently and all been good quality when they arrived (even sent me a much better and more expensive gas stove when the one I ordered was out of stock :thumbsu: )

Hey everybody, some good links in here! Dare I say it but creaking bones are tempting me into an airbed this year. And a real pillow ! Long gone are the days of my trusted denim jacket as a pillow.. (Arhh dreams of dead demin jacket).

By the way Kalifire, how did your exped mat work out ?
