I saw this lovely advert the other day from an MEP who defected from UKIP to the "We Demand A Referendum Now Party":

"We're full" seems to remind me of something....

Yep that's it

Utter c**ts the lot of them. It's depressing that mainstream politics has so little to offer that people turn to these knuckle draggers.

I wasn't going to vote, but the thought of UKIP having any semblance of power is frightening.

It's precisely for that reason I started this thread.

It's the potential non-voters who can stop the rise of UKIP, and while I have a lot of sympathy for the idea that voting is a waste of time that only encourages politicians to be politicians, I feel this is a time that action against a particular type of politician is the more important thing to do.

Oh dear...

Campaign to make UKIP look more racist launched by Labour & Tories...

No campaign is needed to make them look more racist. They're just racist.

Some people are too stupid to realise tho, and they'll be too stupid to be wised up. That's what you get from the stupid.

So... Farridge has bottled standing in w*nker Newark, supposedly because he has no connection to the area.

But he does, an excellent connection.

The bye election has been caused by a tory having to resign over cash for questions, and UKIP has a very very strong connection to tories who have to resign over cash for questions ... they have one as their own deputy chairman.

Yep, UKIP are different to the other parties.

  • 2 weeks later...

As only about 30% turn out to vote in euro elections - the easy way to beat UKIP is to get off your Effing arses & vote!

Easy.

Then you will have no shit in your beds.

Having just had a wonderful holiday in Portugal and then returned to host two French couples for the weekend as part of our village's 20 year long twinning with Sautron (a small community not far from Nantes) I have experienced nothing but a warm and friendly welcome in Europe.

Some of the most deprived areas of South Wales where I live have also also benefited hugely from European Funding. So I have a pretty warm glow when I think about Europe and our fellow Europeans.

I first fell in love with France when I went on a school exchange fifty years ago and still believe that the pathway to understanding is friendship, respect and tolerance.

We'll get nowhere as little Englanders or little Britains.

    • Had a wonderful booking in one of our primary woodland venues this weekend. A 30th birthday arranged by a load of musicians and entertainment industry professionals. It was primarily a folk oriented event, however I noticed one young woman who didn’t seem to fit dress and appearance wise. Turned out to be Frenetic, one of the top up and coming UK Jungle and DnB DJ’s.    Anyway Saturday night turned into an EDM session and I got to do a set. Slightly nervous considering who was there, it was great and Frenetic loved my set. She’s closing Data Mine at Shambala this year.
    • they got lucky and the thunderstorms stayed away. It was still wet of course. Some of those boot sucking puddles did emerge from what a couple friends saw who were there.  Post fest aerial also below   and also a sapphic mud wrestling contest?
    • It's even less funny when in real life too...   Liddle met Rachel Royce and the couple soon became romantically involved.[84] In January 2004 the couple married at a ceremony in Malaysia. They had been living in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, and had two sons together. Six months later, Liddle moved in with Alicia Monckton, a 22-year-old receptionist at The Spectator. It transpired that he had cut short his honeymoon with Royce so that he could be with Monckton. Following their divorce, Liddle and Royce exchanged attacks in the media. Liddle called her a "total slut and slattern"
    • Got our purple outfits sorted.   What's the uptake on the fancy dress day?   Does everyone get involved with that one as well?
