What have you done today to get ready for Glasto?

Aside from buying my ticket, I haven't done anything to prepare yet.

I haven't checked my tent, haven't bought any booze, haven't given any thought to what clothes I'm going to take, don't know if my wellies are still in ok condition, haven't booked my train ticket...

Surely I can't be the only one with this laissez-faire approach?

Today I began to feel relatively normal again after returning from five days at a festival in Denmark. Slightly sun-stroked, slightly sleep and food deprived, and enormously devoid of regular sleep, but otherwise good and ready to go again!

I booked today off on a whim to get some Glasto stuff done. Just got the sleeping bags out the airing cupboard to air on the washing line. Just got rucksacks and wellies (!!!) out the garage to check them all over. Ordered spare camera batteries.

I had up to now done absolutely nothing. We are working so until we had all the stuff through it just hasn't felt like it's really happening.

Last night a few of us working met up at a local pub to discuss travel plans and such. This morning my routing pass and letter to exchange for wristbands and stuff arrived so now it suddenly seems very real indeed.

Will start packing the weekend. Yip!

Going to Morrison this evening to make use of a discount card my friend has for the alcohol run. Then, I have the weekend free for any last minute shopping required. Feeling stupidly prepared this year with very little preparation. Bet I have missed something important.

I'm in limbo - already done everything that can be done in advance but too early to start the actual packing and freezing drinks etc... very strange feeling having nothing glasto-related to do for the next few days. Probably for the best as I have a job interview tomorrow and actually have time to prepare for it now!
