All the nice weather we've had recently...typical. Friday looks like a write-off!

We could have had it this weekend just gone or the weekend before and experienced no rain!

As it is, it looks a bit shite. It's a shame but a great time shall still be had :)

So cloudy Wednesday, raining Thursday, raining and cold Friday with extra heavy rain from time to time, rainy and cold Saturday and rainy and cold on Sunday.

Great!

FUCK OFF NAL... o wait

Light drizzle Thursday, 40% chance of rain throughout the day on Friday (which means it could be on and off and it's not THAT cold.

As long as it's not pissing down when we're setting up on Wednesday and sitting around in the day on Thursday then I'm not really bothered about the rest of the weekend. There's nothing worse than putting a tent up in the rain and it completely ruins the atmosphere when it starts pissing down on the weds and thurs.

Been out this afternoon to buy wellies and waterproof clothing, I really hope its not going tobe as bad as I keep reading

. No matter what people say I cant stand wet Glastonburys, never enjoyed one yet. Some seem to enjoy it but not me. Bloody weather always seems to chage for worse for Glastonbury. Grrrrrrr

okay... lets get things into perspective!

regardless of how the weather may change from now to Friday (and I doubt it will as things are certainly on the change unfortunately)... there are other things to consider.

Wellies and the panic about how dry you can keep your welsh oggie are all well and good, but have a think about what the techies, mixers, sounds guys and every other important member of 'crew' or 'staff' are thinking right now.

As long as the festival and all those complicated attractions and stages can keep the bands running to time and safely so - THATS what is important.

Friday looks (cover your ears) to be a raindrop peltdown... but as long as the stages, crew and bands can handle it and continue then thats something to keep in mind and respect.

'F' the weather, lets all just have a party!!!!!!!!

    • Primavera refunding day tickets which are probably a negligible percentage of attendees yesterday.
    • Thursday day tickets being refunded. Fair play.
    • I’ve had a good sleep and I feel weirdly zen about the whole thing.   My first Primavera, so not the greatest first impression. I guess today couldn’t be any worse, right?   Thoroughly enjoyed Men I Trust and Geese. Cupra is a beautiful stage and the crowd seemed fun, friendly and engaged.   I think it probably could have gone even worse, considering how dangerous the crowding felt at times.   Anyway, we go again.
    • Brighton centre is a weird old venue for the Mary Wallopers - a great band, a really good live spectacle, and its a saturday night as well which sets it all up - but its at the bloody Centre? a charmless nonsense of a conference centre? Brighton dome is a ten min walk away and is so much nicer a place to see bands its ridiculous!    ah well, i'll probably mosy along anyways . . .
    • So bad honestly. I get that bad weather happens but their communication was non existent. When you're managing crowds of tens of thousands of people, it's just not good enough. I left when Massive Attack was cancelled (the first time) and it genuinely did feel unsafe trying to get out. No one knew what was going on, people still sitting in the ground when there were hoards of people trying to leave, no crowd management at all...   I've been to PS enough times to know sometimes you need to just roll with it but this was way worse than "the bar queue was 30 minutes long".    Today will be better but still feel super disappointed.
