It's never too soon to see them again, they will be as professional and spectacular as last night, without a doubt.

My feeling is let them flop to all the doubters and leave them to the masses who want to really watch them.

The BBC and the papers will make or break the show regardless of performance.

Ulimately I'll do what I normally do in a situation like this at Glastonbury...make a decision at that moment. It has always tended to work for me in the past.

You could make a case for Miss You being one of the highlights of the set. Heard people singing it all round the site on the Sunday - and some folk were still going on the Monday as they were picking up their luggage from the carousel at Edinburgh Airport.

Although Sympathy for the Devil was the highlight clearly! It was the song of the festival last year.

then Nothing Else Matters and possibly The Unforgiven will definitely be the only two. hardly gonna play The Unforgiven 3 or... those Load/ReLoad ballads (whatever they may be)

i'm sick to death of Nothing Else Matters but there's no denying that it'll be a big moment of their set (massively due to it being their most well known song along with Enter Sandman). lighter in the air moment n'all that

blackened has appeared on quite a few metallica setlists latly though or though you cant really judge with the audience voting thing they have going on......I wouldnt say its any heavier then other songs in the set like battery etc? hopefuilly itll be there

it's probably just a little bit less recognisable than other songs of theirs, and what with only two hours, it's one of the songs i can see getting the cut unfortunately. they don't tend to represent ...And Justice For All much in their sets apart from One and then maybe one other if you're lucky. hopefully not though, would love to hear it played

probably zero as i think the last time it was played was when they did Black Album in it's entirety. great song. remember i properly loved it the first time i listened to Black Album

i'd love that. definitely one of, if not the, strongest songs on Load / ReLoad. not sure on the likelihood. they seem to dust it off every once in a while so it's not impossible. just not sure if they will for Glastonbury

Miss You was great you damn party pooper.

That party was too colossal to be pooped, but it was definitely the low-point of an otherwise sterling set. They should have put Dead Flowers in there, but the show was so excellent that I feel like I can't complaint at all. IORR kicked in right on the heels of Jumping Jack Flash, so went down really well... and I Know It's Only Rock N Roll is shit... but I like it.

Even though it's only a couple of weeks, that can sometimes that can have the opposite effect when a band loses its roadworthiness in double-quick time - muscles go slack when they're not in use.

Going back to the Stones feels a bit irrelevant but it's worth pointing out - to counter an earlier objection regarding them - that they've never toured without (at least some) new material to justify it.

judging by the crowd's singing, it was the song of the Primals set too....that's how much it was the song of the festival!

The fact their own fans were wooping it at their own gig is surprising, would have thought that crowd would be getting more of a kick out of Happy and You Got The Silver.

That the tickets were (relatively) affordable for a Stones gig and the fact that you could get as close as you wanted with a General Admission ticket shifted the demographics away from your common or garden Stones show. I think it's fair to say that it's never ranked as one of my favourite tunes, but - for some reason or other - it seemed to come into its own last summer.
