metalicbear
Black Crow's a faker, but to be fair to him, none of the bands he's mentioned have been proven wrong yet, but at least he's named bands, Lucky has named 1 and got it wrong this year. mrtourette
True about lucky, although BlackCrow's 'info' told him that Halestorm were going to be in the Download announcement and they weren't. And while he got two others right they're in the same boat as above, fairly obvious names. I don't think any other names he's mentioned have been tested yet, I guess they will on Monday. metalicbear
Oh right, I didn't see his latest rumour. I guess we will find out. It's pretty annoying that people say they are itk, but then never reveal anything and then afterwards pretend they knew all along, this forum is good for festival info and rumours, but if we don't know who the bands are, it's hardly helpful. metalicbear
A rumour would be saying that he's heard this band is playing, or providing a source. Saying he knows 2 of the headliners, but keeping it to himself isn't a rumour it's trolling. Edited November 26, 2013 by metalicbear
Millar95
As said, Metallica look likely, I definitely think they will at least be at one of sonisphere or R+L with the end of the Metallica post saying there will be updates next week. Looks poor on Sonisphere's behalf if they have Metallica headlining again IMO.
Muppetmark
so basically. Iron maiden at soni Metallica at R&L/soni Black sabbath at the other.... that is all.

lharris92
whenever someone says they have info I take it with a pinch of salt as even if they have been told something by a sauce, the sauce could have been fed false info just so it doesn't properly leak. anyway hope it has good headliners as could make next year interesting
AR93
So what about Friday (Proper 40 year special day): Deep Purple w/ Scorpions, Lynryd Skynyrd, UFO etc Saturday: Iron Maiden w/ Motley Crue Sunday: Metallica Throw in a couple of Soni favourites throughout the day too obviously. Would be delighted with that if I'm honest even if I am being waaaaay too hopeful!
luckysalt
Luckysalt has proven himself countless times, he named Prodigy, Slipknot, Avenged and Aerosmith for Download way before they were announced. I'm pretty sure he knows, especially this close to announcement. Anyway whispers and educated guesses leading me to the conclusion Metallica and Iron Maiden are Soni's two big headliners. As for the third...hoping for Soundgarden

5co77ie
I dunno, wouldn't Maiden just be a case of 'same shit, different festival'? Would certainly be a disappointment for me, I'd have hoped they would be looking to attract a wider range of people other than just those who usually go to Download. eFestivals
Interesting, think they'll do fairly well against download this year.the festival that gets Metallica wins. I can't help but laugh about how such a big scene has such a shortage of bands.

Dave
I've tried to find out more info from my Knebworth contacts (used to work there years ago) and can't find out anything. Being kept well under wraps this year it seems so I wouldn't trust anything yet.
