First time getting through after failing last year!

I'm studying in Spain currently, no luck on my laptop at all not even a loading page with 5 browsers open. My mum just got through 5 minutes before they sold out, can't thank her enough.

Got through on laptop, 1 tab in Chrome at 09:40. Knew I was close when the URL changed from the holding page one to the WORTHY FARM DEPOSITS one. But the screen was unchanged from the 'we're processing transactions as fast as we can...etc', so just kept bashing F5 like a banshee. Once into Reg page, no problems with booking process, unlike last year. Phew.

Confirmation email came through 3 mins later (a record!). By the time I'd finished the laptop transaction, noticed my iPhone had gone through too, so managed to secure our remaining 2 tickets via a crappy, 1 bar EE 3G signal.

:girlhaha:

It's not nice to read about so many die hard Glasto goers not getting tickets - best of luck in the resales everyone!

I feel so lucky to have tickets! I didn't get a SNIFF of the booking page but my brother managed to get in after changing his host file as per Twitter advice (thanks to whoever discovered this.)

My group of 10 are all sorted. A single tab in Chrome got us through for the first 6 & 3g on an iPhone for the other 4.

By 9:30 I really thought we were going to fail this year.

4 of us got ours at around 10.20. 5th year in a row! the other 4 (two separate bookings) also sorted. I got through and got details on about a minute after one of the others got in and hadn't even had time to tell us so got the 'already paid for message', so not as bad as previous years with one booking form between us.

People who didn't get tickets will hate me for this but we actually overslept, the girlfriend has a chest infection so neither of us have slept much past few days as she is coughing all the time. We only woke up when the other couple asked how we were getting on. 9.55....almost feel like we don't deserve it!!

I had 2 laptops, one hard wired the other wireless with one Chrome window open on each. Had a bad feeling at first as I got nothing but white screens on both until about 09.22 when the holding page started to load slowly, then at about 09.35 I got to the registrations page on the wireless laptop. Took about 10 or 15 attempts to get past the reg page using back page in the browser and resubmitting, then got past the confirmation page at the first attempt, then had to enter payment details 3 times, but then bingo at about 09.42! Got my email at 10.15.

See all the lucky ones next June all being well, but to those who weren't so lucky don't despair, it's not over yet!

Tickets got for me by Twitter friends thankfully! We did at least see a page this year and tried to help others but it timed out.

Gutted to see so many familiar names have missed out, but there is always the resales so don't give up hope. :)

    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
    • Hey guys, is there a group going for any solo y not goers this year?? I couldn’t miss out once I saw the acts but it’s just me and would be great to meet some others:))
    • After deciding to abandon the festival, here's a few of my thoughts (mostly negative tbf).    On the positive side - was it just me or were there a few more urinals than last year? Seemed to help the queues at the loos a bit from what i saw. Plus they had at least had some foresight and had a few more covered areas in the VIP areas.    Now on the negatives.  The weather was admittedly pretty crap but it wasn't apocalyptic. How the actual f**k are bits of the main stage falling off in those conditions?  Then the communication was awful, there's a load of people who left the site because they were told by security guards/other personnel that there would be no more acts on the main stage this evening.  You have an app Primavera, use it! Yes, there's a shitload going on I'm sure but communication with the festivalgoers should be one of the top priorities. You failed.    And I'm not usually somebody who buys into the whole "oh this is hugely unsafe and it's lucky people weren't hurt" narrative, but all the above led to movements of people that were genuinely unsafe.  Evacuating Mordor entirely (again... Why???) and then having a horde of people trying to get in because they thought they were going to Massive Attack was insane.  And given a lot of people basically abandoned ship around 10.30pm the crush at both the exit to the festival and the entrance to the Metro was pretty dangerous.   Conditions happen, most people will get that....but the contingencies have to be better.
    • You'd think that something like bad weather was in the basics of festival planning. After the shitshow of Madrid, you'd think they'd learnt their lesson, apparently not...
