I can't really see anything other than the headliners being 2 of Libertines/Kasbian/Mumford/Linkin Park and subs being The Vaccines/Alt-J/Fall Out Boy, I don't see there being many other options unless there's someone that is a bit of a random booking as sub ala Kendrick Lamar

Ah okay, makes sense. I'm just looking for anything to cling onto that isn't Mumford & Sons so I'm not bored to tears.

I agree, mumford and sons are possibly the most boring band they could get to headline. No matter how bad linkin parks new stuff is they would easily be more fun than mumford.

Don't think the tour sold that well and the album seemed to pretty much bomb which is a shame as I really liked at the time of it's release. Haven't listened to it since then which right enough.

Annoyingly for me it was only Manchester that sold out, and it was a tour of 1,000-2,000 capacity venues. I love them and can't understand why Luminous was so poorly received in comparison to Skying, both are great albums but Luminous is in my eyes the best of the two. Can't see them coming back to R&L as high up as they were last year again, unfortunately .

Beck is touring in August. Could be a sub.

Would be great, but really can't see it happening with the direction R&L is going

What if that thing is Linkin Park?

I'm preparing for disappointment among the ranks, but I actually quite like Linkin Park. Granted their 4th album is utter shit and anything since, while better pales in comparison to their first 3 albums (although the first hasn't aged all that well) I actually think they'd be pretty fun live. That's coming from someone that hasn't seen them though.

So do those European festivals with Beck playing mean Florence and Alt-J are pretty fair guesses? I'd really hope if so Florence would sub rather than headline, it'd just seem like a weak booking otherwise. Happy there'd be possibility for The War On Drugs to play at least!

Alt-J probably are. Florence could, but because she'll only play one or two festivals she's less likely than Alt-J are. She could easily headline Glastonbury/V instead, and I reckon she's more likely for Glasto.

    • It feels like just the three. I thought our flight landed at 6.30pm but have since realised that it's 5.30pm so suspect we will nip over once we are in our accommodation. Hopefully make it for Morcheeba but, if not, should definitely make it in time for Faithless.   That said, I'm not buying tickets in advance in case flight is delayed. Which seems likely as I think every flight I've been on in the past five years has been delayed!!
