T In The Park 2014

Why would Arctics' Finsbury park dates have any major bearing on T in the park sales? I think big London shows are so far away from a majority of T goers that big Finsbury Park will have very little to no bearing on how T sells.

A festival the same weekend as T in EU announced a few acts, no one even mentioned it apart from me. Some of those acts could be in the running for T..

People seem to forget that one of the years that they played T, they also played big shows at Old Trafford Cricket Ground.

I can't see Phoenix being confirmed for T. A half empty tent, and they'd likely play a smaller slot. What would be the point? The 1975 are gonna play for sure. The Lumineers... might get a slot higher on a smaller stage, but I wouldn't see the point in that.

U2 have got a new song out now (which sounds pretty decent on first listen). Any chance of them? I know they may not go down well with a lot of folk, but it would be a a big booking if it happened, and would probably result in a sell out for that day at least.

Bloc Party are a no chance. I'd say White Lies, Placebo, Crystal Fighters, Passion Pit, Franz Ferdinand and Empire of the Sun all have a decent chance of having a place on the lineup.

The years where people would rush out to get T in the park tickerts are long gone, mostly becuase the Line-Up can be easily predicted nowadays. I think the last time I got a ticket the day the were released was when they announced the Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Who, The Strokes, Primal Scream etc. 2008 i think it was?

The Arctic Monkeys are a very safe and predictable booking but they aren't going to get people rushing out for tickets like before. Only an announcement of someone like The Rolling Stones would have had people more excited on this thread as well as getting their tickets straight away.
