I'm just loving this season. #MoyesIn. :D

Rumour is that he's being given £50M/£100M/£200M (delete as applicable, depending which paper you're working from) to spend this transfer window as the Glazers panic that they'll be bankrupt within 2 years if Utd fall out of the top 4.

And yet the biggest criticism of Moyes at Everton was that he always spent big money poorly. So it should be interesting, particularly as top players are now looking at Utd's league position and not wanting to be stuck without CL footie.

I was reading Utd fan comments elsewhere last night, and opinion now seems to be firmly turning on Fergie, not only for the state of the squad he left Moyes with, but also for the way he's put himself behind Moyes so that Utd's board are keeping faith with Moyes - with the suspicion being that they'll all wake up too late when Utd are well and truly fucked.

#SixMoreYears. :P

I liked Moyes at Everton for straight talking.. He stinks of desperation at Utd now, always somebody else's fault.. Embarrassing..

For the fans to turn on AF is a bit mad, he did win the title with the squad he handed over..

The transfer window has been a big fat nothing so far. Fulham get Dempsey on loan and Chelsea sign some 18 yo CAM.

I thought Moyes was a twat at Everton, and I think he's a twat now.

I think Man U were managed by a whiny angry Scot that successfully manipulated the referees last season and I think they're managed by a whiny angry Scot that's failing to now.

I think the squad had flaws last season but had enough in it to make one push at the league, particularly with all the teams around them being the weakest they have been in years. But Vidic, Ferdinand, Scholes, Giggs, Carrick are all another year older and able to contribute less (Ferdinand in particular is a lot worse, he's been fucking dire this season), and the youngsters' gain in experience isn't anywhere near enough to compensate for that.

Johnson worked well in partnership with Dann - Johnson doing the old fashioned donkey work and Dann sweeping up behind him.

Johnson's ability isn't the problem (he's not great but he isn't abysmal), it's his discipline, the demon drink, his dedication to training, and his disruptive influence on the squad.

Apparently Vidic contract is up in the summer, I still think he would be a big loss as you dont want to be overhauling a centre back partnership over 1 summer.

his agent has said he won't sign a new contract at Utd, tho the wording was a bit "... unless you make us a fantastic offer". ;)

    • Christ didn't even see that!
    • It does feel very bland. It would certainly spell another year (my third, I think) away from Pyramid headliners for me. That doesn't mean they aren't worthy, though. I don't follow what any of them are up to, as it isn't my thing. Good luck to them.   You would think coming off a fallow year, they would want one big hitter. 'Big hitter' is obviously open to debate, but that was/is Madonna. Let's have it right. The eggs have gone in that basket, and it seems (as far the rumours go) that it's blown up. So now you're left with another plan B/replacement headliner.   I'm still of the opinion that Oasis will do it, before the Oasis thing is all said and done. Probably 2028, if they can come to an agreement. It may transpire that 2027 is bland (or at least to some of us), and 2028 is a bit... wild.   Again, though, none of us categorically know ANY of the headliners, as it stands.
