Well, given that Paolo Nutini isn't a co-headliner and doesn't need darkness, I'll go with that. 1am finish just to have Paolo Nutini sub?

Perhaps they just want a late licence and the other stuff was a pile of shit. Applying for a late licence on the of chance someone 'big' might sign a contract is a bit fishy to say the least.

Maybe they're the mysterious second T Saturday headliner, being kept a safe distance of 24 whole hours away from Scotland's favourite shirtless hairballs.

I thought we'd established that album chart positions mean fuck all ;)

I fucking love shirtless hairballs

ooh Air Balloon is a song, I thought she'd changed her album name to something worse than Sheezus

I mentioned a while back that i wouldnt be suprised if Lilly Allen was a sub at Glasto let alone V. If you look at some of the subs this yr:

Rudimental, The Specials and Suede for IOW

Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini (maybe co head) and prob Jake Bugg for T

Wouldnt be suprised to see Ed and Lilly as the 2 subs at V

DIdnt someone say a while back that Ed was only doing one UK festival? If that was the case wouldnt T have said exclusive for him?

What about Example? Headlined SW4 last year, has new material due out soon, possible tour later this year - fills a DJ/Artist slot and just mainstream enough to be main stage.

Ed is a possible headliner possibly with some "guests". He's ginger so being dark will be an advantage.

Kasabian are unlikely - doing there own gig in Leicester and a load of European festivals with a possible Glasto performance. Doubt they would do V.

I'd love to see Knife Party or Skrillex appear, but it's unlikely....

Please not James Arther - he was a no-show at V last year (I have earplugs if he does come though!).

Worse still U2 have a new album due this year and after the duff set they played at Glasto in 2011 might want to play an easier audience.

Ed as headliner?? I dont think so :S

Knife Party would be good, not really into Skrillex

Doubt U2 would do V

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
