So, going to start this ball rolling due to today's discussion a bit.

Oasis to be one of the 2014 headliners. They have unfinished business to make up and V will chuck shit loads at them to get them. V also wouldn't hold them back from other shows as it'd sell out either way.

Oasis no way. Cold play and Mumford and sons I think with TDCC subbing Mumfords

Coldplay are on a 3 year break, they only toured last year.

oasis and Rihanna would be huge - Rihanna on a UK Exciusive too, she'll have done V Fest, she's even playing a fest in europe that'll book her and a stadium tour. IF she doesn't actually take a break year and doesn't end up at Glasto - as I see that being the better offer for her at this time then that's still big.

Rihanna is more likely to take a break, maybe lady gaga would be up for it. She would be different to Beyonce this year but they both would put on a great show. I think mumfords would be a good shout if coldplay won't do it, but I don't see oasis reforming. Noels HFB are still going strong and he doesn't need to go back. Was it noel or loam that was more to blame for the split

People in the T in the park Forum are talking about Oasis aswell, thinking they could get them when/if they reform. Yeah they will probs reform one day, but will that be for a one off festival or will they tour or do multiple fests

Don't get why it's called a break? It's called writing the next album like all bands do

Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Kasabian, Killers, Arctic Monkeys, Morrissey, Biffy Clyro, Arcade Fire, Jay-Z, Justin Timberlake, Mumford & Sons, Blur, Daft Punk, New Order, Radiohead, Bruno Mars, P!nk, Drake

Some of those are incredibly long shots but fuck it, why not

    • Yesterday was another brilliant day of music for me. Some highlights:  My Bloody Valentine - absolutely loved it! Maybe my main festival highlight. I felt submerged in the music with all the layers and distortion. It becomes hypnotic almost as it progresses. Not as loud as some thought it might be, but it didn’t need to be. The visuals added a lot too. During the noise part of You Made me Realise, I was basically in a trance staring at the visual tunnel or whatever it was on screen. Amazing experience. Little Simz - as she mentioned at the start, you’re guaranteed a good time with her. Great performance just like in 2022. Zero complaints. The little DJ section wasn't something I expected but was cool. Kneecap - I had a blast but at this point in the night I was at my most intoxicated let's say, so I don’t remember it as clearly as I'd have liked to!    The xx - The sound for this was perfectly balanced (at least where I was) and the band were great. Lots of talkers, but with the crowd size and being kind of far back, it's to be expected. Intro was one of my favourite moments this year. Big Thief - really good live performers. The lead singer has a lovely voice. This was a nice chill way to kick off the mordor gigs for me.
    • I've been attending Primavera every year since my first one in 2017 & it's always been my favourite week of the year, but I think things have changed.   Firstly, the site just feels too busy in this current set-up. I'm sure it was a lot easier back in 2017-19 to get between the stages & then a good spot for the next one, but now you increasingly have to sacrifice parts of a set or miss them out completely to plan for later on. I wish we still had the Bits area over the bridge to spread everyone out.   But the main issue is the talking, it's always been here but this year it's been relentless & I just can't tolerate it any more. It's at every stage, and everywhere from the front to the back, there is no escape. Not focusing on nationalities, but a major dynamic now seems to be groups of people who are only focusing on their own good time & aren't interested if this affects anyone else. It seems essential that all members of the group are together at the same time, so it's people making telephone calls, people on shoulders waving phone torches, people barging through. It's alright, I'm only trying to watch The Cure here.   I will have a year away to think about it. I thought might give up completely but yesterday was a bit of a classic day after two unenjoyable ones. Adding Olivia Rodrigo to Baxter Dury, Gelli Haha, The XX, Gorillaz & Kneecap shows how good it can be, but as with everything, it's always the people that have the biggest impact.
