almost there guys, this is the final stretch, our span's last inch, here the weather gods appoint our pilgrimage's last anxious and excited mile, and in 4 days it won't even matter anymore because we'll all be fucking munted, rain or shine, at the greatest festival in the world

man i'm excited

Getting nervous now - this is the forecast we want on Monday/Tuesday! However it looks like it's going to be great regardless *says ten Hail Wellies immediately* :D

new insoles for the wellies today...a small but significant offering to the weather gods.

only missed one full weekend since 2002....and that was 2010, the only year it hasn't rained to some degree since we started going. after 9 years of trudging through gloop, standing in cold drizzle for hours, missing acts because we couldn't be arsed to wade between fields, cowering in damp tents from thunderstorms, wiping rain from our faces as it drips from our poncho hoods and cursing as you heel slide towards the fiftieth fall of the weekend we deserve nothing less than a dry one.....to sit on the ground with a pint of Brothers, to doze in the sunshine to some mellow vibes, to dance in flip-flops at 4 in the morning, to hike to the stones and join the throng in the warm evening glow and to go home on monday happy, sated, re-energized but mostly, dry.

come on God....it's payback time.

    • Not a great look for the festival that Saturday headlining slot. 21P management had to be very convincing…   Anyway, I still don’t know how to deal with this :   Matt Berninger is a must see but I’d like to see all four. Florence Road then Halsey should not be an issue, but I really doubt I’d be able to enter the Barn to see Matt.   And Matt’s set times means we miss a few minutes of Gorillaz and stay quite far from the Main stage.
    • Lovely stuff, cheers. Their EU tour poster for Jan/Feb next year says “more dates TBA” so if they’re playing here that’s preferable!
    • Muse new album out soon , European tour announcement for Nov and Dec, no Spanish date and north American tour starts in July and in North America for all of July and August. So primavera and Glastonbury
    • Well he is on a rape charge, don't see that one as controversial.    Although Hakimi is in Morocco squad.
    • Electric Callboy just said they'll be touring here next year. I'm not sure there's a poster for it though. I'll look when I'm near some next.      He said we'll see you at Download at a gig before any of the band. Presumably he was trolling. They're in Austria at the moment and Germany tomorrow with a week's break and more shows in Germany. Whilst not impossible to come back here and then go over there again, it seems unlikely.
