Tickets - Box Office collection option

Considering you don't always have a choice of where you get dropped off into the site (depending on mode of transport), that could be pretty painful if the box office is miles away. I went to V last year and we had VIP tickets, got to the regular wristband exchange and was told where we needed to be was basically a 15 minute walk away...

I'm also ordered my tickets international. I went for 'secure box'. I'm hoping that means they will mail them to my international address. I want them in my hot little hands before we leave for the UK. I don't want to be looking for some place before hand, lining up in yet anothe queue.

I thought I had read somewhere, that the reason for opening the sales a month early for non-UK was to have more time to mail them.

Then why not open sales for everyone else at the same time?

I speculate that the real reason is deposits: they want to take money off people as close to the festival as possible so that ultimately they DON'T cancel and need a deposit. Maybe foreign refunds take longer so they open the process earlier so that they can refund them earlier if need be.

Still don't get how it saves them money by not letting people buy outright in October, unless again cancelations are an issue.

I think that's probably just about the VAT (and which isn't much of an issue for the smallish number of overseas buyers).

A deposit is that, and not a sale. Therefore VAT does not need to be paid.

It means that Eavis doesn't have to borrow around £5M just to service the VAT bill. By having the sale (or full payment, which is the 'sale') in April then it means that the VAT is not due until the end of July, by which time Eavis has the ticket money in his hand.

There's tens of thousands of pounds in borrowing costs saved just by doing that.

It's located near the coaches I think

Due to a balls up from see tickets mystery and his Missus had to pick up tickets from the box office. Due to another balls up they neglected to tell th that they needed photographic ID luckily his Missus had iD show she could get in. They are not having it with my mate so we ended up sneaking him in. Even though he had paid!

Thanks for the help guys.

I asked See, and they said the box office is on site, so opted for this option, as the tickets dont get mailed out till early May. Would die if they didn't to make it to us before we left.

Hopefully i can suss out where the box office is and get to the festival near that gate.

Four Months, aaaarararrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!
