I was at the York gig last night. i had fogotten how good guitar/bass/drums could be. Wilko was (still) on fine form, and the encore of Bye Bye Johnny was anything but sad - all in all the whole evening was a load of fun.

Bargain at £11 for 4 albums, a DVD and a CD of demos/live/unreleased stuff.

Got round to watching the DVD in it last night - some great concert footage from Southend. What energy!

I really hope he's well enough to play at Bingley.

Wilco's been playing with - the frankly amazing - Norman Watt-Roy for decades now.

It would be a bit harsh to just up and dump him at this point.

My local in Southend has put up a new sign in his honour. He drinks there quite a lot and occasionally treats us to impromptu cameo appearances with local bands. What a legend.

Yeah there hasn't been an original member in the band for 20 years.

Lee was the last original member. We bumped into that line-up on occassion, during our gigging. By then, it always felt like a fairly joyless affair. They didn't seem to be enjoying gigging, it was like a job of work. They were ok, but nothing special.
