Never got him. He was the darling of Dublin in the early 00's. Saw him a couple of times and was bored shitless throughout.

He did Silent Night at Oxegen (in mid July) which was fantastic until I realised he wasn't taking the piss.

good grief. was that a 'can't get through the field quick enough' scenario as well? i'd say their shrieks would make that worse than Duffy/Faulkner.

and since you mentioned her/them, whatever did happen with LaRoux? she/they were biggish for 5 minutes in 2009.

I hated camping that year, having to keep walkiung thru the other stage field, ewwwwww.

I have a feeling that a new album from her is imminent, but perhaps it already happened and it passed everyone by.

Theres nowt worse. You've got the dickhead-filled terrain to negotiate along with the ear-poison of the act you want to avoid. I remember having to traverse the railway line when the Shins or something were on the Other Stage a couple years back. Dog rough. Glasters in particular should put aural-DMZ's on the map for like minded buggers of a sensitive nature to get past the Other Stage. Thats a fucking minefield of a Saturday afternoon.

Have to say I'm appreciating the kinship here from people staggering hungover accross the Other Stage field accompanied by some of the worst music on Planet Earth.

The Coral for example... there seems to be some kind of temporal pergatory localised around that part of Pilton where those clowns are always playing the Other Stage. Unavoidable shite.
