I saw Floyd do Dark Side Of The Moon (and Saucerful, and Meddle) the first time round. When building a wall was the highlight of their shows, I decided it was time to move on.

Personally, the technical brilliance of any show pales into insignifficance in relation to the music. If I want production values I'll go to Vegas

Anyone who went to or is going to the UK Wall shows might be interested in this forum http://yeeshkul.com If you register for the forum there are some excellent concert downloads there and I am sure within the next couple of weeks there will be a complete multi-angle video shoot DVD of the Wembley show. Also a good source for those rare Floyd recordings from back in the day.

A very special gig. I just want to see it all over again. This year has been far too good for gigs.

If I had the money I would have went to Manchester but sadly I'm very skint now.

The Trial seems to be my most played Pink Floyd song at the moment which is weird as I never really appreciated it before.

TEAR DOWN THE WALL!

I know but I've just convinced her that the Nick Cave tout idea's a good one and that could cost up to 70 quid each plus travel (if she decides to go - I definitely am).

I have no money and this may push her over the edge, especially as I saw it a couple of years back. Oh, I hate you, cruel temptress! I know you're right, but I can't justify it (can I?) as it will be essentially the same show.

You're all evil. I'd finally talked myself into going, as there were two seats available for the floor area, after many schizophrenic arguments with myself. Mrs scruff then let me know that our kitchen had basically fallen down. We knew it was on the cards and were planning on saving up to get a new one next year, but didn't realise how bad it was and now need to find money for a new one. No way could I then broach the subject of a last minute 85 quid each plus travel gig, especially after this has come straight after our new boiler was fitted last week which has wiped us out financially.

Thus rests the case for the defense as to why I should still be allowed on here

although it will never top the Berlin Wall concert 21 July 1990 which I attended { although none will ever get close due to the sheer size { 350,000 ticket holders and a estimated 100,000 were allowed in for free { from east Berlin } - now that is what you call a audience } - not even Wembley has the space for a 550-foot-long by 82-foot-high wall but the Sound was fantastic.

Well, hello, fellow attendee! x

Yes, I remember a great crowd in Berlin, and the historic significance and all that. But I also remember some seroius technical problems with the sound back in 1990, and tbh, the band he has now is better! Ok, I'm biased. I dislike Cyndi Lauper so much, that I actually didn't mind the sound trailing off when she came on stage! ;-)

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
