Struggling to find the words, but it was incredible. I was standing just near to the front of the mixing desk and the imagery and sound were completely enveloping - we were truly submerged in The Wall for 2 hours. And at the end a pig dive-bombed us! I got some great photos, will post a few here when I get them sorted out.

Such a funny jealous/happy for you combination going on here :D

The flatmate came with me and isn't really a floyd fan, he came out virtually gibbering with excitement which is quite a thing for him.

I really hope they're planning a dvd/bluray as I think they've done such a special thing I'll still want to tell folk about it a decade down the line

Keef your pictures are incredible (if you don't take band pictures for a job you should), makes me want to experience all over again, good job I have tickets for Paris next Saturday :P. Glasto-worker yours are pretty good as well, would love to see some more.

As everyone else has already said it was an amazing night, but wondered if the people standing had much of a problem with people holding up phones and iPads?

In some of my photos you can see a lot of LCD screens in the foreground, I just either cropped them out or darkened the foreground to make them less obvious.

A few got in the way when I was trying to take pictures, but I can't exactly complain, I'm sure there were a few people behind me thinking the same about me. At least I only pop my camera above the crowd for a few seconds here and there, there were lots of the (now commonplace) serial video recorders holding their phone up for whole songs at a time. But as Ed says, the stage visuals were so overpowering of anything else in your eyeline that any phones were easily ignored.

Just watched a few YouTube clips from previous shows and was reminded of when he played Vera - the song and the visuals that went with it were very powerful, had me welling up it did, almost couldn't sing along for a few lines.

That gig was astonishing. So many magical moments where do you start. The Stockwell execution, the bit with the soldiers returning to their kids. Mother. Comfortably numb. Even the trial was sensational. Now I can play the record and enjoy it in its entirety.

This was truly next level stuff. Doubt I'll ever see a gig like that again.

I never knew he could be that much of a showman. He looked in incredible shape too. And looked uncannily like Richard gere. I was swooning over him.

I got a real buzz walking up Wembley way to the stadium too! Doubt I'll ever go there again but it was ace, if grotesquely expensive

Result :-D

Weren't the remastered animations great? I think they musta redone them... Is a lot of tracing. The flowers were just brilliant

And as you say the politics are spot on if not as fresh as when the tour started. They kept that worldwide, good on them

Gibben: No problem. I wasn't aware of that forum, a quick browse reveals the true story behind the pig's demise:

It was part of the show. It was hovering over us during the trial and as the wall came tumbling down the security guards started pulling it down towards the crowd so that the crowd could grab hold. once there was a hole in it some people were putting their heads in to breath the helium - one bloke was biting it to rip it and I managed to get a little bit of it. it was quite unnerving for a while as there were a couple of us under it with with people diving in on top to get their bit

    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
