New Order are way too big to be in John Peel surely? I'd have thought they would be perfect Other Stage headliners. They are roughly the same size as The Cure and they certainly wouldn't be anywhere near the JPT so why would New Order?

They only difference between the two bands is that The Cure have a better live reputation but shouldn't mean much when we're talking about stage placings.

They did, and they were superb, but not in the Cure's league. Subbing Other Stage but too big for JP. I'd like The Horrors and Spiritualized to do the JP please!

Speaking as a fan boy, I would think new order would headline the other.

They are hard to place though. The headlined Bestival but also headlined the king tuts tent at T. I think their original UK tour dates sold out quickly, with the subsequrnt dates selling reletively well in decent sized venues.

So they could play JP, I wouldn't be surprised, but I think they will be on the other.

The difference between The Cure and New Order is that The Cure are very selective about where and how often they play, creating a somewhat false sense of demand, while New Order will play anywhere for far less money, thus meaning that there would less of a clamour to see them.

Alt J have some very good experienced people behind them. If they are still touring by then (surely they have to stop at some point), then they would be looking at one of the main stages in the afternoon, hopefully getting on the TV.

The XX would be my tip to headline The Other Stage. They've outgrown Peel and Park Stages now

Will The Horrors have an album out in time to play festivals next year? They'd be a good bet if they do.

What about Jack White? Too big, or is it possible now he's on his own? He seems to like the festival.

Finally I'll go for an older band and friend of the festival, Primal Scream. The seem to be gearing up to have an album out, so will do the festivals next year. Hard to know where to put them in a festival line-up these days. If they're collecting headline slots, then they've done Pyramid, Other and Dance, so Peel and Park must be on the list next.
