The problem with RAW is that it's only used now to build towards the next PPV. I know that is the primary goal of RAW but I miss when they used to have big match main events, remember Mankind winning the title, Jericho winning it from HHH then getting it reversed, that is just a few examples off the top of my head. I'm not saying there has to be a big match on every week but would nice to see a title match or some match of my importance opposed to the usual 10 minute main event, beat down angle at the end.

That is what I'm enjoying about TNA recently, they have cut back on their PPVs (next one is June or July) so they don't really have a choice but Angle just won the title on free TV.

The "good" RAW days were really to combat WCW who changed the format I thought. But theres nothing wrong with a decent pre or post PPV RAW. I get the feeling WWE think it would detract from the PPOV.

Titles don't have to change hands but a big run in thing or something unpredictable on RAw would be nice. It doesn't even have to accommodate a story or make talent "look strong".

Like this

I don't see the big deal with not mentioning Taker's loss. Unless you basically want them to be saying constantly "Hey! Doesn't really matter what Wyatt does, because the big deal was last year!"

Thats the perception now by not mentioning it!

Wyatt wins and hes putting the last nail in the coffin. Taker wins and its very difficult to put Wyatt over a main eventer in the next year. Hes already lost a few big matches.

Anyway heres a good warm up

They should realistically be able to make Wyatt look strong,

How? He either beats a washed up 50 year old wrestler who has only wrestled a handful of times in the last 5 years or he loses to a washed up 50 year old wrestler who has only wrestled a handful of times in the last 5 years.

Basically, they could have the lasting memory of that match being Wyatt absolutely annihilating The Undertaker in the post-match.

There's nothing they could have done to help Wyatt this year as far as build goes. But they can still give him a big moment on the biggest stage in wrestling. Which would obviously help him.

And people would be thinking "Meh, Lesnar already did this".

He hasn't done anything this year has he? Hes been out losing to Reigns, Cena and Orton on the road and on TV after losing most of his big PPV matches last year. They've kept him out of the spotlight really until WM which is a good thing.

But it smacks a bit of "heres our next next NEXT guy". Maybe. Give him Taker at WM and see if works.

He should've got Cena really instead of a (basically) retired guy whos twice his age. I'd worry for the character. Vince has tried this character multiple times over the last 20 years and got nowhere really. Skinner, Waylon Mercy, Phineas Godwin. Seems to be a good impact debut and then goes nowhere.

Lesnar annihilated Taker post-match? Must have missed that bit. There's a difference between simply beating him, and then going mental after the match. Or even LOSING and doing the same. It's the only thing that could help in this situation. Personally, having him win the match or lose the match doesn't really matter.

Oh, and if he got Cena AGAIN, it'd have been utterly ridiculous, especially after they basically used Cena to bury him to the point that he had to disappear for months.

It SHOULD have been someone that is in the ladder match. Or even a win over a returning Sheamus.

EDIT: They do still have a chance to turn it around. They just need to do something different. And by something different, I don't mean have another 50+ wrestler who isn't even very good anymore helping him out.

Oh sorry missed that bit. Yeah makes more sense, going tonto on him post match. Like Bret vs Austin you mean? Really turn him into a mega heel. That may work.

Doesn't do a whole lot for the actual match though does it? Which I suspect will be slow with a few high spots.

The actual match can't be saved, which is why they need to really focus on what people remember about it. People remember the Hart/Austin double turn from that match you mentioned. People remember Rock going batshit after the main event at a shocking Mania 2000. People remember Kane ripping the door off of the cell in the first HIAC match is what people associate with that.

Whether they're capable of doing that? Who knows. But it's basically their one shot at saving it.

I think your overthinking things here, I think the majority of the WWE fanbase still see Undertaker as an icon rather than a washed up star. Its not like he is on raw every week losing to Fandango and Heath Slater.

Im sure if you offered Wyatt the chance to lose to undertaker or win the ladder match or battle royal, he would stick with his current match as wrestling Undertaker is a rare privilege.

As I said a few weeks ago it may not be a wrestling classic, but its more of an attraction. Providing they go on late, the enterances for both will be amazing. I know a lot of the internet fans are more interested in workrate, but I think there are a decent proportion who couldn't care less. I remember when I was younger I would much prefer Undertaker in a casket match against a plodding giant, than a technical masterclass.

Excellent news. Multi-year deal means we will hopefully get to see him face Bryan, Orton and Seth one on one. You've got to think that Rock vs. Brock II is on the cards for WM32 also.

Brock retaining and getting cashed in on next week on RAW.

I'm fine with Rollins cashing it in, but I don't want to see him beating lesnar. To me lesnar as a face champion is the way forward.

I am SO happy Lesnar has resigned.

And a multi year deal. Still not full time but who cares.

I'm really looking forward to Lesnar v Rock, their first match only went 7 minutes. I'm looking forward to a longer match.

That title match on Sunday now just become unmissable.

I said before lesnar retains, still think it too.

Reigns will turn heel I think, but not at mania. He needs the reason and the fans booing him at mania like crazy (which they will) is the reason.

I hope that the new deal has a few extra dates in. If I could choose the PPVs he works it would be:

Extreme Rules

Summerslam

Night Of Champions

Survivor Series

Royal Rumble

WrestleMania

Pretty much what he did anyway, but with Extreme Rules and Survivor Series added in.

Lesnar as a face would be brilliant. How about a returning heel Sheamus being babyface Brock's first challenger at Extreme Rules? That would be one tough match.

If Lesnar wins at Mania, I dont see how WWE can get the title off him other than a screwjob or screwy finish. Unless they say Reigns came close to beating the beast and build him up for a later rematch or something but im sure that would be a very unpopular choice. No one has really beaten Lesnar down to a point where a MITB cash in would be an easy option

I would personally get rid of money in the bank completely, I think it cheapens the title change. I think they should merge the IC and US title and build it up properly, using this as a precursor to the main event. My personal hope for Rollins is he delays to the last minute with the aim of finding the perfect time, then ends up running out of time and having to cash it when Lesnar is fresh and taking a beating.
