Dying Light is really really so much more than I thought it was going to be, it's fantastic. The combat is brutal and the human characters are very difficult to beat down. Saying that, I'm about 5 hours in and just found my first gun (that I can use anyway, actual first one went in the Gunslinger side mission) so hopefully they're a little easier now.

Have Bloodborne waiting for me when I finish too, I'm excited about that. The only souls game I played before was Demon's Souls and thought the combat was sluggish and a bit boring. However I liked the atmosphere and did "get" the difficulty thing, I can remember beating the Phalanx on the first level after about 10-11 tries and feeling like a fucking beast. I've read a few things on Bloodborne and it sounds like everything I didn't like about Demon's Souls has been rectified, can't wait.

Also loving Dying Light. I'm in Old Town now and it's getting very tough. I never have enough medikits and you can't buy alcohol at the stores to craft it with. Save your guns for shooting the human enemies by the way.

I like first person stealth games. Im enjoying it, just could do with a couple more weapons!

I find them just weird to play but I'm coming from stealth games such as MGS, Splinter Cell and Hitman. Think I've already discussed this.

On the steam thing I re downloaded Total War: Napoleon. I never actually played it but my brother did on my account. I've also got Portal which I never completed and my brother got Left 4 Dead 2. I'm surprised L4D doesn't have control support. It's pretty cool that I can use my PS4 control for Super Meat Boy.

Three wonderful examples, and Deus Ex of course.

Didn't play much Thief II but the sneaking in Skyrim worked okay.

I'm so fucking happy this is happening in the middle of my Dying Light playthrough, + the mrs is out tomorrow night. I'm gonna kick the shit out of everything.

brilliant! Is it actually happening though or a joke?

I've just about finished the main story now.

99% sure it's legit.

EDIT: Also, how are people getting on with Bloodborne? It's sitting in my cabinet staring me in the face and I can not wait to start it. But I'm loving Dying Light and Hardline at the mo and there's no way I could be playing 3 games at the same time, my mind would explode, I struggle enough with 2.

Need something to occupy all my time for a while so I'm about to start Dragon Age Origins. Got all three of them sat waiting for me to play them and finally decided to get stuck in. Bankrupted myself buying a PS4 and now I'm back playing my PS3 backlog - smart move huh.

I'm starting a new DAO playthrough too.

Is it the "full" edition with all the DLC? Some of the DLC items and quests are well worth it.

Pretty sure my brother downloaded the DLC when he played it in the past. Think I'm just gonna motor through the main story of the first two, though, just to set me up for Inquision, which I'll play properly.

Fair enough, but Awakening is worth a shot on it's own. Then again it's set six months after Origins so you should play it between DAO and DAII anyway.

    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
    • Healey's first budget with be Oct 28th
    • Been going for 10 years. Wasn't massively keen on the lineup beforehand - although as usual after some research I did start to really look forward to it. We had a brilliant time, felt more like old school Latitude, lovely vibe and we met some nice people. We saw loads but highlights for me -   Lime Garden Florence Road Jalen Ngonda David Byrne - Not a fan of him or TH really but we went out of interest and it was one of those festival shows that you'll never forget. The staging was off the scale. Eleni Drake - Up on BBC Introducing, what a haven that stage is.  Westside Cowboy Getdown Services - Probably highlight of the weekend for me. Absolutely brilliant and have booked tix for them in Bristol next year. Everything Everything - They're my favourite band so I loved it when they were added. A great start to Sunday and met loads of their fans up near the front. Alex James Britpop - We enjoyed it and Gary Stringer FFS! David O'Doherty - Saw him twice, brilliant as usual. Self Esteem - Adore Rebecca and the show was as live affirming as always.   Overall, it was such a brilliant weekend. Beforehand we said that we might give it a miss next year but I'm pretty sure that we'll be sucked right back in!
    • Me too.  Reckon they must have more this year.   Not bad is it - ended up paying same price as this year.  It still represents great value for me.  Well, until I check my bank account the Monday after the weekend.
    • Well mayors have more powers to do that sh*t...but they have to make the numbers add up.
